@GM_Rusaku nanao looking for honorable death? The last chapter estabilished that her motivation is to learn magic swordmanship isn't it? To me it's like, wtf is happening? why tf she cried for no reason? She doesnt look like the person would blindly suicide with her goal not fulfilled.

I want to understand what is happening in this series but so many things happened without any reason at all. And we still didn't get to know their world yet.

So y'all are split between "I'll keep reading" and "Fuck this shit, I'm out"?
I'm firmly in the former just because I'm a sucker for Uno-sensei.

@WeeBDestroyer, I guess they just don't like the mystery genre if one or two "bad moments" due to not getting answers to mysteries is enough to turn them off lmao

MC thinks she probably isn't used to fighting against magic swordsmanship because samurai (who are from other countries) usually don't have it https://mangadex.org/chapter/908558/16 . I also think the explanation isn't that clear but since this is an adaptation, maybe the light novel explains it in more detail

If i was to make a guess, i think he was expecting her to duel him, the problem is she was trying to kill him in that fight, and he wasn't, in his eyes he see's her as someone who enjoys killing and fighting (or at least her sword does, if it's one of the 6/7 swords mentioned in the first chapter), so to him, she looks like more of a monster than the troll he fought, as the troll had self control and some form of self awareness, while she is more like a berserker, something that kills anything that get's in her way while also destroying her own body in the process and without any form of mercy to anyone deemed a foe (considering how bloodthirsty she seemed, i'd say that includes potentially civilians), which probably goes against his ideals.

She may be suicidal, but she also might have gone there, if i'm right about her sword, to try and learn how to control it's rage, but that is irrelevant if she enjoys the fight too much, which might have disgusted the MC.

I'm just really confused. Like, what's MC's deal? First he wants to save Nanao even though he should know full well that she doesn't need his help. Then he immediately wants to kill her. And then it first seems as though Nanao is sad because she can't control her bloodlust for reasons that'll probably be revealed later. But then she starts crying when MC refuses to fight her again. She clearly wants to fight people but she's also aware of her bloodlust so maybe she actually just wants to murder everyone at the school? I thought that was meant to be the MC's (hidden) shtick. Maybe Nanao's crying is just some disorder that has no bearing on what she thinks at the time or the plot.

I don't really have strong opinions on this. I'll read it if there's nothing else.

There's definitely going to be much more explanation in the next chapter, I just hope the author doesn't fuck it up. The premise is pretty good so far

Fyi my people, 25 inches = 63.5 cm. I would appreciate if translators stop using retarded units next time, we already have the good old SI.
