buy gruyère cheese, cut a part in dices, put pill inside one, and feed him 3 as reward after some game.

I really don’t get why she still seems to primarily feel pity for him. Don’t get me wrong; Compassion is good, and I think some degree of pity is warranted. But if this kid started out torturing and killing animals and then moved on to humans… Pity for him wouldn’t be on the front of my mind.

Also commenting about the dog, my Great Dane green of dog I had as a kid would ALWAYS spit pills out no matter if you hid it in anything from a slice of cheese to a peanut butter sandwich. Whenever she was strong and picky enough to find pills, we knew she was strong enough to get through whatever she had, so I’m hoping the same is true for yours.

Whenever my family dog needed medicine we would completely cover it in Leberwurst on all sides. He went absolutely crazy for it and since the medicine was converted from all sides, he couldn't even tell that it was there.
I don't know if Leberwurst is even a thing where you are, but I guess any meat based spread should probably work for that trick.
