Jesus Christ dude. Even if Bocchi was in a relationship I still think she'd probably communicate better than this
When someone with a severe case of communication disorder/social anxiety is better at making themselves understood than you, you know you've messed up.

Not mad - bored. Because it's the same old tired trope every time and everybody already knows exactly how it plays out so it's just a waste of time and pages before hopefully the author manages to have something that resembles an original thought again at some time.

At least most other stories which take refuge in that shitty trope have their characters not being friends for years, or they use it a lot later in the story as filler material when the readers have already grown attached and the story can survive filler arcs. Using it as opening story when it's still chapters in the single digits.... yeah I can see this axed soon if that's all that the author and editor could come up with.

This had promise but I think i'll drop it for now. I don't expect highscholers to not be retarded and have functional human being levels of communication but this is too much and I'm sure this will be a recurrent problem

lol, this author is a real piece of work when it comes to character development...

I know he can't talk to her IRL due to obvious reasons, but in-game? Really?

A place where you're using avatars, and you can literally have a private conversation by either using whisper, or using party chat is still a no-no for him?

What a load of crap.

The author thinks that they know about gaming, but in reality, it's just a mere delusions that comes from his own mind, because they never played an online game throughout their entire life...

I am 99% sure they are gonna make up and all, but if he did break up with a nice girl like her he'll definitely regret it for the rest of his life

The least he could have done is explain the situation and say they could keep it perky in-game from then on. But nope, he chose the worst option.

For real, this trope always have been bad at milking even cheap drama and 5 chaps in we are supposed to like this better than anything else that would to actually develop the story ? Fuck that.
Like you say it's even worse because at this point they have been close friends for years.
