Thing is, what publishers hate even more than piracy is bootlegging. And permanently paywalling chapters counts as such. PLus, MD's staff doesn't like that groups like Asmodeus bait people here by only ever uploading a few chapters here and there, and keeping the rest behind their paywalls.

Asmo got warned about doing this, but they doubled-down on it, so the group as a whole got the boot and their uploads were purged because they don't want to attract the publisher's attention. Again.

All these groups doing these "pay for this one chapter for early release" are painting a massive target on their back.

I checked out their site too and it’s up to chapter 5 but behind a paywall.

And that's not the worse, now asmo split the chapter in 3 and put the third one behind a paywall meaning you have to pay to finish reading a chapter

Very often coups aren't started by the highest ranking people in the army, this is because if soldiers are going to follow unlawful orders they're going to do it for someone they trust and respect rather than some guy who sits in an office all day. That is why colonel Gadhafi was a colonel and not a general or look at Turkey's long history of coups by junior officers. What I'm saying is doing this to your most successful commander while his own personal unit is in town after they just pledged to follow him no matter what wasn't a great idea and they're extremely lucky this didn't end badly.

Honestly, I'm not quite sure myself. It feels like it was at least a month or so to me.

Yeah, it does, but unfortunately it's better this way. If a publisher goes after Asmo, they won't have any reason to come after MD as well since they purged all their uploads already.

That might also be why the staff hasn't published a list of works that got purged, because doing so can be taken as openly inviting people to commit piracy. But I could be wrong.
