Wouldn’t that be a function of the language preference? I’d they type in say Sanskrit, it wouldn’t appear to English or French users (whom have their language set properly)?

Reading the other thread and this one I am under the impression people want to start "signing up" for moderation privileges... Well, I don't want to make myself appear more important than everyone else because I am not, however, I do have a feeling that letting other community members have same powers as @Zephyrus would greatly put me in a bad situation. Some of you probably don't know me and some of you probably do... I have never personally posted anything with the intention of being harmful in any way towards another individual. Sure, I may have provocative comments but these all the time directed at the characters during chapter discussions.

It is not my fault if people get upset with me for calling their favorite waifu a bitch, or husbando a beta bitchboi those are my comments towards the characters in a fictional story which we are all here reading.

I already have some sort of mutual understanding with @Zephyrus and I honestly do apologize to him for the number of times people have wasted his time trying to get me in some sort of trouble or possibly banned, but he knows and I know what's going on and I really don't want to have deal with another person doing everything in their power to get me banned simply because they don't approve of my opinions or the way I discuss in the comments.

You know how many people were so excited when the blocking feature came out? "Oh we can finally block kronix" they said, no joke like 10 people... Guess what? Even after the blocking feature came out these people still talk shit about me, even go far as to mention me and sometimes even personally attack me when they see my comments.

@kronix There was no public vote on it so far as I know, but the last thread we had discussing mod powers came to what I thought was a pretty strong push that no one who volunteers should be accepted as a moderator. Far too much bias and power play bullshit comes out of that.

As for this round of mod tools upgrades, I can't say I'm entirely happy with it, but a system that lets users opt in to view everything posted despite mod blocks is tolerable to me.

The only real concern I have at this point is the slow, steady slide into echo-chamber factionalism that personal filtering often creates, but I don't think there's anything that can be feasibly done about that in the near future, so I'll leave that as a topic for a later date.

Good to see this feature, as it can also help others gain a further understanding of what exactly is "acceptable" and what is not when they see a statement/posting moderated.

This is very very false, as I just cannot believe that you cannot believe that your statements would NOT have that effect on others. You know exactly what you are doing when you post. That is why I placed you on my block list for quite a while and had only recently cleared you off when I saw a great lapse in activity, so I unblocked in the hopes that you finally stopped acting -in my opinion- trollish.

You may have an "understanding" with @Zephyrus, but that does not mean that your past actions are acceptable. That is why people blocked you and -as you put it-attack you. You basically earned their reaction towards you with your statements. Having a note in your profile does not relieve you of the responsibility of what you post in a comment section or forum.

The two options you can choose are “Hide moderated comments” and “Show all comments”. In short, you can either choose to view comments

I guess that's a way of getting around the hassle of attempting decent moderation. All things considered (my pessimism about moderation, that I expressed already in the last thread, in mind), that's probably the best way to approach this.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but there's no "understanding". Technically, you're allowed to express your opinions in whatever way you like so long as it doesn't violate 5.1.

I've made it quite clear that I know you are fully aware of the outrage that your posting style elicits and you revel in it. The *instant* you break a rule, you'll lose your commenting privileges for a long time.
