Just a capital B Bastard. Accepting the possibility of death of your subordinates is not throwing them into the meatgrinder just to have a slight advantage or not having a slight disadvantage, especially if you're such a combat powerhouse you can force a relocation. He just doesn't care shit about their lives, just victory. It was specially proven when he realised Walm wasn't keen to harming them needlessly (human shield notwithstanding) and still went all out, killing them left and right.

And you can't just ask people maimed so badly they're barely hanging to life to "duck or die". If combat happens near them, they're likely the first to die needlessly. That's why attacking a medical center, military or not, a war crime.

Did you forget a few chapters back when Highserk soldiers were killed sentenced to whipping for raping in the city without permission? Besides, a captured healer is a military asset. The United States took in all the NZI scientists from WW2 and put them to work in NASA. Never waste resources.

What exactly would that achieve? She is a potent asset, why damage her? Now the sieging forces lack their super healer, meaning their casualties will skyrocket to realistic numbers. In reverse, her pacificst and good natured attitude can be made use of by the besieged ones to get her healing for them.

Also the reason why the previous army was destroyed was because of lady general + 3 heroes + numerical superior force, they overran that army once Falme dude was down.
