American Service-Members' Protection Act, otherwise known as "The Hague Invasion Act".
I just found out about this from your comment. What a fucked up act. And of course, it was introduced by two Republicans and signed by that asshole Bush. Clearly they knew they could/would be labeled as war criminals for the mess in Iraq, so they created this as a safety measure. Another reason for me to smirk when some American brats diss Japan for their war crimes, something they should have apologized for, but at least haven't committed any in nearly a century.
Iraq, and Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain, and Qatar, and Israel, and Serbia, and South Korea, and the Philippines, and El Salvador, and Venezuela, and Guatemala, and Sudan, and Somalia, and Libya, and Egypt, and Syria, and...
The mention of America does bring up a point that will likely not get addressed in the manga at all. But if the entirety of Japan was transported including all of their warships and things like that, wouldn't a fairly sizable number of American soldiers and equipment also be transported? Just a quick google shows that over fifty thousand American troops are usually stationed there along with warships. Unless they somehow got magically left out of the transportation and just... fell into the ocean, a fairly large contingent of the JSDF would likely have US military wondering what the hell has happened.
Yeah, I mentioned this back in the early chapters!
Even if you left Okinawa behind in this world, you would still be bringing Asia/Pacific Command at Yokohama, and like... 5 air bases?
Yep; two USAF, two USN, and one USMC air base... and that's the planes, pilots, fuel, supplies, and everybody to go with them!
About 40 million gallons of fuel, 400 megatons of stored food, and 30,000 people (or 70 million litres, 40 bajillion metric tons of food, and 17,381 metric people) with just those 5 bases.
Then, the naval base at Yokohama, and the smaller naval stations, the naval yards, and the ships at dock... probably another 30-40,000 US Servicemen, there?
Not really a drop in the bucket, even when compared to the population of Hokkaido, much less all of Japan; less than a fifth of a smaller Japanese city, in fact.
But... considering that the topic is war, you'd think we would see them.
American Servicemen, of which I have been one, know what to do in the event of an isekai; you find the nearest legitimate democracy, ensure it has a codified system of law, and then you destroy anyone and anything that tries to destroy democracy.
When joining the US Military the "Main Reason" you sign up is always different, but one of the reasons is always to uphold democracy. That may not be the main reason, and maybe you don't get to actively do that, but that's alwaysone of the reasons.
All of which is to say...
We should be seeing United States Marines out there slaying fools with their Mamaluke Swords, and earning their Blood Stripes!
That DAMN SURE would be happening!
I'm almost offended I havent seen it yet, lolz... c'mon, Manga Author; hook us up.
