This was nice. This chapter felt more reminiscent of the earlier ones, where rationality still existed so Nao's absurd behavior could be cute and comical.
Both of them actually communicating a little better now is even surprising. Wonder how long this positive direction will last...

Rihito might be on SSRIs
speaking as an escitalopram* taker, how do you figure?

*escitalopram is a Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor, or SSRI for short.

edit:

As someone diagnosed with "The Big Sad Illness®" (Major Depressive Disorder) I wonder if Noa would benefit from some SSRI's or other such antidepressants...

I don’t take SSRIs but I heard they can cause emotional blunting and reduced libido. Lmk if this is a misconception

maybe, all i noticed when i started taking them was the positive effects.
Made me feel much better, I didn't notice any emotional blunting, except wrt feelings of depression. It's hard to compare, when your whole mental state has shifted. also I've been on them for years at this point. I did recently increase my dose, but I still did not notice such, just felt less overwhelmed by my negative emotions.
