I kinda agree with Mika here. Of course, that doesn't mean he should bend over to Noa's every whim, but c'mon. He knows that's her way of showing affection and how much she treasures their relationships, so always trying to mine their time together when he knows how important that is to her is kinda mean. Like, he was the one who told her that she was special, and he was also the one who accepted to be her friend in first place. If he can't handle her clinginess (even when she's constantly trying to be considerate with his feelings), then he shouldn't have become her friend in first place.

She actually has improved significantly when you look back at early chapters. She doesn't really force him the way she used to and is far more confident in their relationship.

So Rihito could stand to show a bit more affection once in a while. He clearly likes her back in his own emotionally distant way (look at his shirt pocket) and does appreciate her. So a hug every couple of days should be fine to show reciprocity.

I bet it would help her self esteem massively as well, just be careful not to spoil her too much

While I do think Noa is just way too much, Rihito COULD word some things better. It isn't like he wanted to permanently reduce their time together, he just wanted to enjoy a game and let Noa make more friends. If he was better equipped for dealing with Noa things could probably improve. For now I can only hope Noa gets better by herself (unlikely, it is part of the comedy)
