I'm probably overthinking it, but after her friend talked about cheaters and accidental pregnancies....then Chika holding her stomach... This is just a set for her to be pregnant with the manager kid and making her easy blackmail material for the daughter in the future. I can see it now, Chika does a pregnancy test in her parent house and it's positive. She throws it in the trash can and Touko scoops that shit up.
Nah u are not, there is no other way to look at that page. She is definitely carrying an illegitimate child inside her

My Live commenting:

“Even if I told you, you wouldn’t get it”….that sounds like he doesn’t have a job and probably sold the car for money to me.

“He’s going to forget what I look like because you’re always at you parent’s” then hands baby to mom….uh if that is the case then keep the baby instead of handing it off ESPECIALLY since you’re the one that woke it up!

Pg 9
“MOTHER F*CKER!!” Only thing that could be said. “MOTHER F*CKER!!”

“I don’t want to break up for Child’s sake, I want Child to have a father.”
That sounds like a regular thing that I don’t like. Just like the whole “if I get pregnant then he’ll stay” thought process. He can still have a dad if you divorce him. I mean do you want that child to pick up those bad habits while growing up in the household?
She is probably like that because she grew up without a father and doesn’t want the same for her child. Her wanting her child to have a father; I’m curious if CrazyMom is the same but on the crazy extreme? 🤔

“It gets messy right away”
Messy is an understatement. The barest of bare minimum he could do is put the plates in the sink, clothes in a pile and trash in a pile then go to sleep leaving everything for later.

“Trying for a baby” I wonder if she could give the possible baby she is having to her friend. Her friend fakes being pregnant while she hides being pregnant. Mirror what CrazyMom and Daughter are doing. Eh, not realistic. Plus how off put she was with her Crazy-In-Laws.

“Aren’t you happy?” I wonder if they looked into her and her relationships which is how her daughter-in-law “knew” she was pregnant.

Pg 21
Oof that hits home. If you’re friend learns…I doubt you’ll two be friends anymore.

Pg 22
Grass is greener…MC saying how his sister worries/thinks of others when she is going through something and here she is doing just that while subconsciously telling her that things aren’t going well with her husband.

Couldn’t say that your husband doesn’t help

Yup.... I would say it's awful to be a cheater but imagine you got a sister in law who has your whole family going against you, his step daughter wants to jump on his dick, your brother hates you, your friend says you're selfish when you can't tell her about your awful husband, and feel like you got no place you belong
What do you mean “cheating is awful but…”? How does that justify cheating? If you hate your husband then get a divorce and find a better one. Cheating in that situation has literally no benefit aside from momentary happiness. It wouldn’t fix her situation, her husband wouldn’t get better, her relationship with others wouldn’t get better either.

At the end of the day. If she was discovered cheating, she would only fall deeper.

So the sister is in an unhappy marriage; she's been having an affair, it seems; and there are suggestions that she is pregnant with her affair partner's child. Meanwhile, she's also trying to come to terms with her brother not being "hers" anymore.

If I squint, I can see an incest route. But the tone of the story tells me the sister is headed a bad way of her own making. Her brother is going to cut her out of his life (if he didn't do so already) because of the sister's wariness towards his wife and his stepdaughter. The sister's mom will react poorly to the affair and likely disown her in some manner. The friend won't help her, because the sister is likely pregnant (again) in the worst context (whereas the friend can't get pregnant).

The sister will have no one except her affair partner, who will likely kick her to the curb when the bill arrives.

It feels like everyone will be miserable in this manga except the wife and the stepdaughter.

This sister acting like she's having Vietnam PTSD just from recalling a mildly weird interaction with her brother's step daughter is getting a little bit silly ngl

I half expect Touko to somehow 'get involved' and manipulate the husband to be 'better' if not subtly leave behind evidence that proves an affair or so and blow up their relationship and isolate the dad even more like "Her marriage didn't work out, i have to do everything possible to cling onto my current family" or so XP

I get it but I would ultimately think that cheating on your partner and getting pregnant with the affair partner (regardless of getting caught) is infinitely worse than being a divorcee. All this considering that she has to live with that decision for the rest of her life.
I would like to know how it happened and how many times it happened. I’m currently going back over this arc to check her reactions with this manager.

It seems/looks like she wants nothing to do with the manager. Like it was a one time thing. Plus she was going to tell MC about it
(ch 16) until she was interrupted by Touka. I imagine that the manager took advantage of her with alcohol and is now using his position and knowledge told to him against Chika.

It's only shown a few times and from what I can remember and it's not initiated from her until this chapter.

I honestly don't feel that bad for the MC's sister. Yeah, her husband's a deadbeat but she doesn't want to go through a divorce - so she cheats on him. Cheating/having an affair is never an option.
Worse enough, she understands her kid needs a father, yet doesn't know the long-term consequences of not resolving the problems she has with his current father instead of running away to another man for short-term pleasures.

As a kid of divorced parents, if I had to choose between having parents divorcing because one or both of them fell out of love, or one or both of them cheated on each other, I'd rather it be the former ... though it may have been the latter in reality, I won't get the truth of what really happened, but I've lost a fair amount of trust in both of them by the time I got old enough to think for myself, and I have no hopes of getting a better marriage than them in this day and age.

From what I see from this chapter:

1) Affair partner isn’t an affair partner but a stalker/NTR protagonist. The whole time this arc she is shown not wanting to contact manager or have anything to do with him but he is CONSTANTLY messaging/calling her acting as if he cares for her troubles based on the messages.

2) Her mom that didn’t believe her at first but later did. She is now being happy/okay with the people that she agreed with her are weird/unsettling. So there is no one to trust there.

3) Her husband looks to me that he isn’t helping her financially which is why she probably has a part-time job and always at her parents’ house. He even looks like he lost his job and sold/gambled away his car. Doesn’t help with the chores but makes even more mess. No one to rely on there.

4) Her friend is going through her own troubles and is now jealous of her or “blaming” her for flaunting what she can't do. So she can’t rely on her.

5) Brother doesn’t say “good morning” or look her way so from her POV he is probably in a mad or in a “I don’t want to talk to you” mood. So she can’t even apologize to him especially since those crazies are always around. He can’t be relied on right now.

All this built up to put her in a corner (possibly again) for what seems to me to be a creepy manager to slither his way into her private life.

Based on how her finger was shaking she didn’t want to/look comfortable send that message. But she had no one else to go to about what is happening in her life.

Every time it’s the manager bombarding her at inappropriate times until now where as you said she initiated it. She is in a corner of “having no one to rely on” all in ONE day’s time.
That’s why I think the manager has been acting like a good guy that then preyed on her with alcohol just to sleep with her.

Be real now; you make it sound like her cheating is the worst thing when she basically saw AND heard a teenage girl wanting to jump at her STEP-FATHER'S DICK who is her OWN BROTHER. No one IRL would justify her cheating. I am saying in plot wise, she has the least amount of issues and wrongful actions when she has an idea what is going on.

The sister has admitted she doesn't want her child to grow up without a father. Don't forget that Japan still sees divorce as "taboo"
