Just another power fantasy isekai, but the author added an uncommon genderswap flavor so I suppose I can at least enjoy reading about a cute girl protagonist's generic isekai adventure instead of the dime-a-dozen, common generic Japanese potato boy MC #3451236.

As for the practically pointless genderswap, I suspect this was done to give our now-female lead a dash of "relatability" copium for the self-insert wish fulfilment crowd who'll find it harder to self-insert if the MC was a girl from the very start. I'm expecting to see a lot of mental references to Susie previously being a man to keep these people reading. Personally, I wouldn't have minded if the MC was a girl from the start, even with the reincarnation element.

The tags promise a future of GL and maybe that could be worth staying around for me to see...

I was wondering the same thing. To try and make since of why she doesn't have armor on now I think that when the story opens on the first page and she is running after the monsters in a dress, then for no reason she has a flashback where he is in armor and complaining, and finally she returns to reality and is in a dress running after the monsters again.

I dont really understand why the gender swap. Why not just let a girl reincarnate and not have a weird plot point that probably won't be used?
For me it always feels as if he artist doesn't accept same sex relations but it's okay now because he was once a man.

I have read several Isakei manga that have a main character that has reincarnated as the opposite sex such as:

"Life with an Ordinary Guy Who Reincarnated into a Total Fantasy Knockout" deals with the gender swap issue by pointing out that Hinata Tachibana is now a girl who used to be a man, but as a girl he doesn't seem to have any awkward moments or lewd thoughts about his new body (i.e. he is reincarnated with his best friend who is a man but never seems to see a problem with using his new body or ends up in awkward situations because now he's a girl).

"She Professed Herself, Pupil of the Wise Man" tries to deal with the gender swap in some odd ways. I can remember after his reincarnation he is ok with urinating in the wild but to crap in the restroom he tries not to due until the last second. Oddly he is ok with undressing in front of his summons but to undress in front of his maid seems to cause him some problems or if she wants to join him in the bath (two girls) he has an issue with it.

"The Saga of Tanya the Evil" deals with the gender swap by just acting like a dude the whole time or being a very short masculine female that looks very feminine.

"Since I Have Been Reincarnated as the daughter of a Duke, I, the "Girl Inside," Will Enjoy Being a Girl as Much as I Can!", this manga is a bit different since the MC character starts out as a baby and grows up in her female form with the memories of being a man. So far the manga tends to follow the typical female lifestyle where she becomes a possible candidate to the prince, but she has made some statements about how she is not in agreement with this path.

I think that since she grows up as the duke's daughter, she has come to terms with being in a female body and I feel that this is true for "Borne to master the blade" and "The magical revolution of the reincarnated princess and the genius young lady" where the MC is borne as a female with the memories of her former life as a man.

In all of these there isn't a relationship pattern such as "girl love" or them being heterosexual. So far, the only trend is for the ones who start as a baby when being reincarnated as a female they tend to embrace the whole being a girl and liking girly things and desire a relationship with girls.

most genderbender/genderswap stories focused on the nonsensical/comedic elements of things bro... Some may delve into the "serious part" but only for a few arcs (or maybe just the final arc).

Also the whole "guy got turned into a girl and isekai'ed" thing is very popular in web novels/light novels, and most of the time the novels just glossed over that to focus on the adventure.

Finding a manga/novel that focused on the serious part of the genderbender situation and actually did a good job at it is actually much harder/rarer.
