Stories don't need to be a certain genre dude, nor do we need some grand reason for a ts or genderswap.
he didn't even say anything about this? it's not like he's making a problem outta it being gender swap, all he's saying is that it feels unnecessary what's the problem? why go to the need to change a character gender instead of just making the character female in the first place? in a way it is unnecessary.

Ts people exist in reality, sometimes without a reason. We don't need a reason to exist so why should a TS character?
Its a stupid criticism.
this shit is going to get cut anyway since its bound not to be popular or make alot of money.

I mean he basically did say that. His logic is that it needs some unmentioned (he never specifies) XYZ variables included in the narrative to justify the genderswap tag.

Personally I think thats dumb. You asked:
why go to the need to change a character gender instead of just making the character female in the first place?
But you could say the same thing if the character was male or female. Why make the character female instead of gender bent/ts? Why make the character X gender instead of Y gender? Why not Z gender? I mean what criteria does it have to meet to justify the genderbend? Personally I think the melodramatic genderbends are a trope and a cliche at this point. Let's have some chill MCs who don't go into hysterics over it chapter after chapter. Not every MC needs to be an emo teenager.

The bottom line is many of these stories are being written for people who like gender bender or transgender people. Thats why. Some of us are TS, some of us aren't. Either way, that's why dude. It's not being specifically written for CIS gendered people. 🤣

Its going to get cut? Maybe. But as far as this site goes, it's got 13K bookmarks already, and it's only the first chapter which has been out for 6 days.

So, it's doing quite well...

Why does it need to be TS for a 'reason'? Nobody reads a hetero comic and says "the protagonist is male for no reason" or "the story is fantasy genre for no reason"

Uh... well I haven't read this one but typically manga don't do TS for some deep psychological stuff. Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt this is going to address the horror the average person would experience waking up one day to find themselves the other sex and in an entirely new world where everything is foreign. No, every gender swap manga I've read hardly address it and just use it for cheap gags. I think that is the reason people say "for no reason" because these types of series typically belittle the actual struggles people who don't align with their sex at birth experience.

The manga industry has not just been digging itself ever deeper but also faster. In fact it has accelerated so much that it has tunnelled past the center of the earth and come out the other side at escape velocity and is now approaching lunar orbit.

At this point there is no rock bottom just an endless void.

I would say this manga is pretty sedate overall. Pretty generic really. Definitely not tunneling or digging at the very least. Not yet anyways. Dunno about future chapters.

Agree. Most gender swap mangas are male to female and as you said, a vehicle for cheap gags. Nothing wrong with that, if that is what you're into, but if you've witnessed, ninety five percent or more end up following the same old patterns: MC is initially horrified, parents (if they aren't absent) are delighted, slice of life experiences after the change begin to create a new normal for the MC, and in the end the MC chooses to stay female, even in those rare instances when he's offered his original gender back. Lastly, in the extremely rare gender swap mangas where the woman is turned into a man, they are not comedic but are gender dysphoric, the MC never adjusts to the new normal, and in the end, gets changed back to her original gender. A bit more originality were the MC was not forced but chose willingly to become gender swapped, would not be such a bad thing to read every once in a while. Just saying.

Seems like most TS manga nowadays are just gay stuff, huh? Like yeah I get not gay mentally but from what my two eyes are telling me, eh eh eh, gay👉. I want to be a cute girl and get fucked by a muscular hunk, not to make out with another girl(with what really? Fingers?).

I've heard people say this before. But it's literally hetero romance at that point. If the body transforms I can only assume the brain does as well since that makes sense. Males and females have structural and other biological differences in their brains. So it's literally the opposite of gay at that point.

But I think thats the point. It's suppose to make you question these issues and think about them in greater depth.

Also, not to be politically correct or anything, but if a person wants to be a girl (in other words, the opposite gender, assuming they are born male) that's still not gay. That's trans at that point, since that's the very definition of TS.

Personally though, I enjoy hetero boy-girl romances as well as yuri romances. So I don't mind which way they write it, story wise. Boy-boy is fine as well, but I'm far from being a fujoshi. lol.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess?

Yeah, I can agree with that. That's pretty much what I was saying too.

Like maybe they wanted to be that way. It wouldn't be a bad thing imo.

I am a simple person and I take it simple. I like genderbend because something about the man becoming a woman and experience being a woman is just some weird fantasy that I like. I am not gay, I like girls, but I don't see myself doing it with another girl if I suddenly become a woman either(maybe because I still see that me in 3rd person and not able to see it from 1st person). Like, that kind of liking changed with the brain, as you said. Unless it is a person that you love by personality and not just body, it is kinda ass to think you still like the opposite gender when you are that gender now.

Again, I am not gay. The most I tried was reading yuri and yaoi hentai, and also watching lesbian porn. It wasn't stimulating to me in anyway. In case there are westerners reading, no I am not a homophobe, I support LGBT as long as it is good and not annoying, but I myself just doesn't have any interest in that sort. I like genderbend for the weird straight romance that it provides. The MC here became a woman and still wants to like woman because he used to be a man, but in my eyes she is just gay, me no likey gae stuff. Many people here are here because of the yuri as well as them not liking the genderbend, me feel like me stepped in enemy territory and kinda agitated, sorry bout dat.

After reading the first chapter, it looked pretty decent. However, the main character played this game for 10 years, and doesn't understand anything about the world he's in? Like, he knows nothing at all, except for his characters body, and her magic, despite familiarising himself with the world for 10 years. Weird plot hole, especially for the first chapter
