Feels like an unnecessary crude way to develop an antagonist. Sure the princess is sheltered and not involved in politics, but she shouldn’t be a political idiot or outright an ignorant idiot after showing that she knows recent happenings.

I guess the author wanted her to reflect the MC’s sheltered-ness before she was reborn somewhat, but the way princess did it seem overly ignorant and cartoonish. /shrug

This chapter is boiling me blood. Not from how the princess acts but from the anxiety to see how the situation will be resolved.

Also, the guards acting complacent is just how the cogs work in this world, or any world really. Whenever I get news about literally anything involving people, the first thought to pop would be - Do you even think for yourself?!

In the case of bad guards, I am sure they just don't want to lose them hefty paychecks. And since the King is silent on the matter, regardless of whenever he knows or not about her imprisonment. Nobody but people from Reius care about the situation.

To be more precise I think she is after the „feeling of being loved“ she saw in these two, but is too naive to know it doesn’t work that way
