I think leaving them up for this reason would be better in the long run, quality alone kept most people willing to wait on KC. People have whipped themselves up into a frenzy for a while towards her too, one less excuse would help but they'd still go nuts in her comments. Someone always does.

Yeah honestly, there have been and always will be multiple translators on series. I don't see it as an issue. KC scans came through and I read those too. I read multiple translations on quite a few series since it can help understand some things better.

Also your scans aren't the obvious bottom of the barrel quality scans people tend to fish for donations, so there should be no complaints really. Honestly most people will take anything over waiting months too.

Yeah, even by Justus's own admission in his own retelling of the story he comes right out and admits that yes he is forcing Harold to use a life draining sword that'd kill him by the age of 20 purely for his own scientific interests, and the overall response I've seen out of people to this knowledge is "Oh huh, I guess Justus is only misunderstood, or only becomes evil later".

Tbf the important revelation imo is that while Justus absolutely took advantage of the framing situation and Harold, he didn't have a grand plan to orchestrate the events that led up to it which means there's someone else in the kingdom with a lot of power over the government targeting Harold... But who?

You don’t have to do that. Kirei doesn’t own the rights to translate this manga, nor does she own mangadex in any way. If you think you have a good reason to leave chapters up (and it sounds like you do), leave them up.

My guy he quite literally orchestrated everything, every last bit of all of this, via blackmail, threats, coercion and much worse, to make it so Harold's only choices are either to use the life draining sword for him so he can study the effects of it, or be executed. Granted it wasn't his original plan, it only became the plan after Harold interrupted his plans to start a war between the kingdom and the other party (I'd have to double check their name, star elves?), but he's fine with this being his plan B.

This might surprise you but his retelling of the story for the two girls was not the truth.

Last two pages of the previous chapter, this entire chapter is him recounting to Leafa and El, his first meeting with Harold 5 years ago, of course with massive embellishments to put it nicely.
