And as you just post yourself, as long as it's related to Liam i.e. even Liam's enemies, the guide has higher absorption rate.

So he could, in fact, be well fed just eating Liam's enemies.

Then again since in that chapter he got assblasted by Liam's gratitude right after, taking into account occasional blast of Liam like that the guide is probably better off just going to another dimension where Liam's gratitude won't reach.

He isn't mindless but might as well be considered so, being outplayed by someone so inferior gave him pride-fueled tunnel vision.
Imagine the Guide has a friend, that person could calm him down and Liam would be dying miserably in less than a week.

I'm pretty sure he did gain enough power back to jump world at one point, but he decided to stick around because of ego as I mentioned.

Berkley head aside, I don't really see what dangers the homeless con man and salty business woman who is doing hard labor could pose to Liam, but good luck, Guide. Lord knows you'll need all of it and then some.

He uses resentment as both food and a power source, but with everything he has invested into Liam, he is suffering an exchange penalty for draining any hate that isn't at least tied to Liam. A few chapters ago he drained an entire planet to mess with one or two people.

The irony is that, with the way his powers work, the more he looses to Liam, and Liam is grateful to him, the better he ends up making the universe.

With as large as this upcoming evil event against Liam is, The Guide has spread his powers wider and thinner than ever before. Liam is always at risk of death from him, but The Guide hasn't faced certain death from the backlash of his failures. However, that's exactly what I'm expecting to happen this time when failure makes its way to the table! If (WHEN) he fails, that NEEDS to be the end for Señior El Guía. I've quite enjoyed him as a character, even though I'm not a fan of *whack-a-mole villains... usually (he really is THE exception). It's simply the RIGHT TIME for this to be HIS TIME. The Guide staying any longer is just gonna diminish his character and it's gonna make it feel more and more like his appearances are just filler with a recycled plot. NO ONE wants that.🤞😆🤞So, hopefully, we're delivered a banger... one last BANG of a failure to send him off properly! Nothing else will satisfy me and nothing else could be better!

*whack-a-mole villain - a villain drenched in plot armor that keeps popping up no matter how unreasonable it is to the story. The worst thing about them is they pop out of the same plothole, following the same routine, and are "defeated" similarly to all previous interactions; as-if, their entire existence was made for that "near defeat" moment.
