So every time a new Karin arrives the house expands magically to accommodate a new room. Is it like a tardis where it’s bigger inside than out, or is it actually growing? And if so, is it just getting taller or are neighbors losing parts of their yards to the ever expanding house?

That was a neat way to show how these split personalities characters work, delivered in a very clear and easy to understand way too.

Exact same memories, but different feeling and attitude toward them huh. I imagine this could get real complex when more characters enter the mix.

It makes sense. If she got fractured into multiple facets of her personality, each facet would remember and be affected by most strongly the memories that led to their formation. However, they are still are Karin, so they each still remember everything to some degree.

TBH this keeps giving me "Aizawa San Multiplies" vibes with how each one is different aspects of the same person (and unfortunately, she just happened to draw the short straw of being saddled with some of the more negative emotions, though she is still Karin)

This is gonna get buried way down in the comments, but i need to get this out there: i relate to this chapter more than almost any other piece of fiction, ever, period.
I had an experience almost EXACTLY like this in ~5th grade, and even now, years and years later, I've slowly lost touch with friends, and even lost the ability to make new ones.
I feel karin's pain here on a personal level. It's my pain. And I'm really thankful to the author for making karin feel the EXACT way i feel, it helps me feel less alone in this weird non-trauma that took over my life.

Whenever a new Karin is added, reality will reorganize itself to make it make sense. The house doesn't grow, it was always like that.

More or less the same here mate, I have trust issues and difficulties when it comes to making friends due to some awful experiences I had when I was 10. Luckily, I've learned to cope and move past it.

Yeah. It would completely shatter the existing dynamic and make the series delve into more psychological/existential horror questions. The most important ones, imo, would be:

• Does that mean that part of me has been erased?
• Does that mean our personality, full personality, changed?
• Is it good or bad that our negative trait got erased?
• Can we still lose and be erased?

So, let's start a betting pool. By the end of the series before they all fuse into one or something, how many Karins will there be.

I am guessing atleast 8, one for every cardinal direction.

Addition:
Nevermind, just noticed the actual volume art.
There will atleast be seven (and one for the og unsplit Karin).

So the next one is short haired and loose wearing one, so tomboy Karin?
The fifth one is bit hard to guess, cause all we can see is the green hair ribbon tying up the ponytail.
The Sixth one also is bit hard to guess, since all we have is the mullet cut to judge by and I doubt she is McGyver Karin.
And last but not least is TSUNDERE Karin as the seventh.

Maybe vol. 2 will bring another set of seven...

And i can't tell the last one at the top right, none of them have twintails but maybe that one will be the tsundere but i wish we don' get one of those this time, because i think they ara a pain in the neck

Sadly. And Mangadex suddenly got rid of like half of what was there too, which is a shame since I was looking at re-reading it here recently.

no they dont. Galka has white into blond, Himeka has white into pink, Kumaka has white into blue, and you can see that one of them has green hair.
