The "I really like you" flew over Anne's head as expected, but Kaoru was able to make a recovery into "you're my oshi" and that's... actual great on her part. I'd call it development, even, because I'm sure the Kaoru from chapter 1 would've just melted and lost consciousness just from Anne's sheer proximity, nevermind her tears and other body fluids splashing on her face.

I'm just amazed that Kaoru managed to not only show up after Anne called her out to the park, but also go on yapping what exactly an oshi is to Anne in person, and even actually ask her out to a date (headcanon). You'd think Kaoru's usual brainrot would've stopped her from doing any of this but even she was more functional than Anne was this chapter.
