>Immediately turn and use it as a lowest common denominator shounen romcom
...What a waste. And the musings of the male main character almost makes it seem like he's not familiar at all with the other world yet seemingly knowing about it at the same time. You'd think a dude that has a hard-on for elves enough to draw ecchi or possibly eromanga of them would be a bit more excited to see a real life for the first time even if the other world has been coming to our side for years outside of "it's a girl and she's an elf." There was about as much excitement there as when I get coupon fliers in the mail.
Also, what the fuck was up with her reading the manga? Was that first bit supposed to be the kid daydreaming? In which case... it's terribly drawn and executed because it has no thought bubbles or anything. And the way it continues on makes it seem like, from the reader's perspective, that she just did a psychotic bipolar 180 and flipped her shit in a nanosecond. If you're going to incorporate delusions right next to real scenes, unless you're setting up a punchline that requires you to make it look real, make it fucking distinct for ease of reading, Mangaka-sensei.
Very unimpressed with this first chapter. And this is coming from a dude with knifeear fever. If I'm not liking it when you have an elf, you've done fucked up.
