That being said, there's a lot of whining and misandry being bandied about. If you don't like unrealistic situations designed to cater to a young male audience, perhaps you shouldn't read a manga adapted from a near H novel. Smh It's not a deep or serious work, yet some of you seem to want to drag out your crusading soapbox and shout at the rain about how "wrong" it is. It's fiction, for entertainment.
Wait, did I miss something? I don't think I've seen any misandrist comments beyond MAYBE the one here.

Then again, it's been a long while since chapter 2 was posted, and even longer since chapter 1 was, so I could have just forgotten.

Regardless of the rather ridiculous way that the trauma affected the girls, I will say at least that I'm glad that they didn't spend multiple chapters with him sneaking around them and beating around the bush while blushing and running away from them.

Either that or this is just a big tease for now.

Two within the first page of comments. shrug I'm not much of a fan of prejudice. I don't care how people feel (that is, we all have our own feelings about various things), but I find it unnecessary to spew vitriol over an obviously fictional source of entertainment. Typically I just roll my eyes and avoid the ignorance, it just rubbed me wrong today. Who's to say why?

Apologies if that diminished your experience.

Oh sure, internalized sexism in Josei is definitely a thing.
Let's put aside that writing skill isn't locked to men or women, and "writing characters" is a part of "writing skill". Are you sure that you're making a useful classification, in the first place, talking about "internalized sexism" in josei manga?

Like, if I watched porn (and a substantial amount of josei is erotica), there's zero point in critquing it in the same way I would a story whose narrative isn't expressly a vehicle for its eroticism.

I'm just stating my opinion. In manga in particular, there seems to be a sacred trope list for each genre, and internalized sexism is present in a good portion of Josei manga.

Going back to your first sentence though, men writing women usually follows common traps that are related with lack of sexual education or general experience with women, and that's a very specific problem for male writers, good or not. Again, just my opinion.

I have limited experience with josei manga, and it's absolutely possible for what you say to be correct, but have you also considered that you're being presumptuous in labeling the treatment of women in josei as specifically a product of "internalized sexism"?

But the writing in this story is obviously geared to facilitate the male fantasy of having an obsessive, mentally unstable, unambigiously-interested-in-you woman in each hand.

Your original complaint is like if I hastily drew you a map on a napkin to show you the relative location of a place you requested me to point you in the right direction of, and then you crap on me for not knowing topography-- that's not the point of my drawing.

A lot of manga is author projection, and josei is no exception. There is good josei manga though, but too much of it is clearly written by women that have clearly internalized the sexism they suffer, and you see that even in good mangas.

I know perfectly well who the target audience of this manga is (and that I'm not it, technically), that's why I didn't write my first comment as a complaint, just as a statement of fact. You are free to interpret it any way you want though.

Let me put it another way: it's absolutely possible that some female josei mangaka have internalized sexism directed at them from men. However, do you consider it possible that you're misidentifying the natural fruits of the mindset of a different culture's woman's subculture, or even a personal cynicism of women not influenced by men?

Is how women are depicted in, for example, Kimi ni Aisarete Itakatta, necessarily the product of internalized misogyny just because nearly all the women are wretched and/or cowardly?

It's a statement that's redundant at best, given the obvious purpose of the narrative. Becuase of that purpose, the way that the women are written can't necessarily be a reflection of the author's ineptitude in "writing women".

As ever, thank you for scanlating.

To those of you simply here to read and enjoy, I apologize for my exasperation getting the better of me.
For real yeah, funny enough I see these types of tryhards even in the comments of actual hentai stories.

-Opens blatant hentai manga
-Complains why is it hentai

Pretty much, with comercial intensive to boot.
