Ya know what usually I hate MCs that seem to think their monks but I kinda understand it here.

As pointed out this isn't him being scared or embarrassed it's the idea of moving forward onto the unknown something genuinely different in a world where everything is always the same.

Good allegory for the coming of age that happens at that 17/18 year old benchmark when you have to step out of school if you think about it.

Not sure if sex will break the loop, or true love will break the loop. Or having sex is a metaphor for true love, or they won't sex until they truly fall in love. Really the boundaries between all those things can be unclear.

What if, lord help them, they never break the loop? They have to learn to spend eternity together as the only two people alive?
