This manga is soooo good. I've never seen a combat sports manga where the fight ends in the same chapter where one of the character having a "heroic second wind" moment. Like, of course, just because you get your spirit back, doesn't mean your skill level jump up too...

Not only that, it's not the mc who gets that moment, it's actually the opponent while mc just following his plan to a t like a heel character usually does...
The combination of pacing and sports realism is amazing....

This series reminds me so much of my other favorite sports manga baby steps

Completely different personalities but it's the way the action is portrayed and a lot of other things

There's some nice parallels with Tokiwa's match with Ajim.
A physically talented opponent. It looks kinda rough in round 1, in round 2 they wear the opponent down physically and mentally, the opponent gets a spirit boost going into the third round but gets finished off by their ideal game plan.

Ever since the loss to Nejima, this manga jumped so much more in quality IMO. It is extremely unpredictable and I genuinely don't know whos gonna win each match. Heres to the next chapters

Could not have put it into better words, if I tried. Never thought it would be so satisfying to see a character with the “MC spirit boost” moment getting schooled like this. No transformations and no asspull techniques, just a 100% believable game plan being executed perfectly
