Hiatus, but there are 18(?) chapters out right I believe. Hard to say if/たhen it will come back since it's been so long and we have no idea what the medical issue is (some take ages to recover from, just look at how long Ruri took to come back)

As i said last chapter, fuki is essentially the cause of most of reiko and mary's problems, mary knew exactly what fuki was doing, but reiko deluded herself into believing fuki cared about her which allowed fuki to make reiko distance herself from mary, reiko is starting to realize that mary's and fuki's actions aren't adding up.

Man... Thank you for the spoilers, I went back and checked chapter 5 comments too. And holy heck that's a very real villain. I know of at least 2 people like that who behave like cartoon villains but in actuality they are evil manipulators.

Anyhow, thank you for the chapter! I wish the novel would be readily available for purchase where I live :|

As someone who also spend most of my time with classics and isn't exactly in tune with the modern zeitgeist, I just love Reiko's references to classic series like Barefoot Gen and how they shaped her as a person! I have more in common with her personality than I expected!

Mary by that point's health had started to drop, and fuki had already severely isolated both of them, so there was only so much mary could do, remember near the end of mary's life she had dementia and was even having trouble walking, if you've ever seen a invalid, it's not exactly easy for them to even walk around much less fight off a EXTREMELY persistent stalkerish insane person.

I didn't really expect the story would go this route and went deep into Reiko's inner psyche as well as her gramma's past being such a prominent aspect. I really thought it'll just be a silly romcom story, this is a pleasant surprise.
