why would MD take it down? there's literally straight up hentai/pr0n on this website and they're fine

was wondering about that too. The way it was worded made it look like they were trying to tarnish the mods and make people get pissed towards them. What was the reason given to delete the chapter? Being vague like that just makes it seem like someone on the mod team didn't like it and scrubbed it off the site.

Horny scanlator group thought it was a brilliant idea to paste in uncensored genitals where there was none in the raws.

If staff had let this pass, it would've opened the door to more groups pasting in uncensored genitals on pages of non-H & borderline-H manga that originally didn't have them (genitalia which would normally never ever be shown, even in official volume releases, because this is not a hentai title to begin with).

Aside from the problem of needing to bump up the rating from Erotica to Pornographic which was already discussed by others, let me add that "decensoring" non-H & borderline-H manga in this manner distorts the original work that wasn't supposed to be full-on hardcore porn.

I don't know what's the policy is, but it seems here erotica is different from pornography and the matter likely stemmed from the redraw. On my observation, pornography doesn't show here in MD by normal means. There's a separate website for it though, and some releases here in MD made its way there. But that doesn't mean it should also be the case vice versa.

Porn is definitely here on MD, you need to go into settings and allow it. By default it gets filtered out.

Yeah no, "Uncensored" can only work only if there's a censored p*ssy at the source. Akatsuki Scans added something that's not from the original source, so they need to put "Fan Edit" or something at the chapter title instead. Even so, if MD allowed this, what's stopping other "artists" from deliberately adding their own "arts" and making this site into something like DeviantArt?

There's also the problem that their credit page was quite misleading because it made MD look like the sole bad guy. And I actually think that MD didn't anything wrong.

Other people in the comments have pretty much covered it already, but in a nutshell;

The page was not uncensored, it had pornographic material added to it by the scanlator.

MD has Pornographic content deliberately filtered out for guests (completely) and for users by default, and allowing pornographic content to exist in Erotica-tagged works has gotten us banned in multiple countries before.

Editing in pornographic content that does not exist in the raws either makes us serve pornographic content to guests (putting the website at risk in multiple countries) or requires to raise the content rating of the entire work (which would be inaccurate, and lock many people out of reading it, over the actions of one user) - neither of these are acceptable solutions.

Porn isn't the issue per se. Rather, the issue is that porn is being uploaded under a series that isn't tagged as pornographic. Non-porn series can be seen by users who aren't logged in, and they can show up on the front page, both of which are an issue for reasons that ought to be obvious.

The difference between this and other pornographic content on MD is that this is not a porn comic, otherwise almost every female character would be naked whenever sex scenes are shown.
Regular manga are forced to keep within the bounds of manga, which is no depiction of genitalia, meaning the 1 page of Ch.10.5 showing the uncensored genitalia is against the manga rules.

So I'm guessing the chapter was deleted because this series isn't labeled as pornography, but that particular chapter should be labeled as such - that's what I'm gathering at least. I personally don't think MD is particularly at fault then, it sounds like a reasonable mistake on your end, and a reasonable action on theirs.

The chapter is still there, the group just had to reupload the original censored page they had edited.
This manga is a manga because it doesn't show any genitalia in it, meaning it can still go under the Erotica tag.
The page that was uploaded had been edited by the group to show a completely uncensored vagina on the Loli character, this turns the Erotica into Pornographic.
But because it didn't have the Pornographic tag added to it upon upload, it wasn't hidden by MD's system from anyone searching for non-pornographic manga.

Absolutely right, and the same goes for most sites out there that know their tags.
In that redraw, the Loli character was shown with a completely uncensored vagina, that would make the entire chapter into pornography, which isn't allowed for a manga, that's why they had to re-upload the censored version.

Feel free to ignore the next portion if you already know the difference between Erotica and Pornographic manga.

Erotica can have all that pornography has, only it can't show uncensored genitalia or penetration.
And as for the censorship to remain erotica, it means a complete censoring of the genitalia and/or penetration.
Some manga will do this by - in the case of a blowjob - changing the penis into things like a popsicle for the giver to suck and lick, to add that extra comedic effect to the manga, but most will simply use complete darkness/light or cropping to completely remove those parts of the panels/pages.
