That was a really solid hint that mom figured out that weird yamada kid is actually the yamatagi madara.
Id love to see Dara figure out mom is just playing along in order to both make her kids happy and more directly give offering to Dara
To be fair, she wasnt a toddler where the paternal bonds would become too strong for that to happen.
She's also shown as a rather clever girl. Probably figured out he was a high value and safe male to gun for

People of those times weren't so prudish and haven't been colonized yet by western postmodernisms. Nowadays, only the very same elites and "intellectuals" who complain about such pairings seem to partake of those kinds of things and give a pass on specific individuals, females, and those of who extol the progressive beliefs/religion and an interesting blindspot for a certain middle eastern religion (WHICH DOES allow it in their text and is practiced to this very day, but the very morally outraged intellectuals themselves either memory hole it or twist themselves into knots not to mention it... stopping conversation either by using the racism card or the minority card for some reason even though they have a massive population and/or are aware their religion is not as a safe target for criticism as their adherents seem to easily default to violence, unlike the punching bag that is Christianity).

The problem isn't even that it's time-consuming, it's the risk of the items cracking if you don't know what you're doing precisely.
There's something incredibly cute and domestic about the local god coming over to their priestess to eat dinners with the family. Guess that's a strong point of animism.

I mean, that's about a parent grooming their kid in an attempt to satisfy their selfish desires, no?
This here is about a(n adopted) daughter falling in love (read: have unrestrained sexual desire) with their (adoptive) father. Unless we see otherwise, she could have very well been thinking about it ever since she became an adolescent and, with the help of being in a very underdeveloped and isolated village...she probably didn't feel much fancy for anybody else, and just jumped at him at the first opportunity recklessly.
