He's a male cat but he takes a female human form?
I know he lives his master but why did he stick with the female firm after being told he didn't want it.

Oh well Yani Neko is always welcome.
if i remember right, he broke a figurine, let's just say cat girl figurine, he understood that he hurt his master doing that, so to amend, he become a cat girl.

Imma be real, I think the thing that's scared me the most this whole series is getting jumpscared by Kaoru with a gun. Under NO circumstances should this maniac have access to a firearm (bb gun or not)!!

I feel like this picture may has some application somewhere.

guns.jpg
Their faces kill me (especially Kaoru's) cause out of context they look like they're gonna light someone up for real, but they look so casual about it. Clearly they're ready to use the real things on future threats.

So an entire Airsoft team got spirited away, and their guns got left behind? At least, I presume those are airsoft due to using it on their friends and general culture, but those target holes looked big. They're hunting with spirit guns next at this rate.

I did think that rifle Kaoru got was real lmao.

... that pain in the arse is the real reason that the mountain is cursed and the miasma continue to spread everywhere, hence why after sealing yasaka, the mountain where the jealous sister was continued to be cursed, i will not be surprise if he was the one encouraging the sister to kill dara.
That's not what happened. The seal worked as intended, it was the elder sister who purposedly weakened it and let a bit of miasma out so that she could put the blame on her younger sister. There was no curse, just plain human jealousy.

nope, re read chapter 5 to 13, the western villager, who was the one that was richer with great harvest suffer from illness that was coming from a well, or so they though.

the sister even believe that it's was coming from the blood of yasaka, provoking the event we know, but this chapter 63 change everything, the doctor is a living god as stated by yasaka, he is alive even nowdays, yasaka made sure of that.

there was 2 living god on that mountain, one was contained, the other continue to have an influence deep in the mountain, that the reason of the miasma's contamination.

by the way, remember the big pit where the soul of the sister, tsubaki was throw away in chapter 35 to 36, guess who is at the bottom ?

I don't see much discussion about what Yasaka says regarding the psycho doctor, which is both frustratingly ambiguous and even contradictory.

The lack of malice: I can only interpret this as the guy being a true sociopath who genuinely saw nothing wrong with torturing a young girl to death in the pursuit of knowledge. In his mind, everything he did was justified.

Absorbing the spiritual energy of grudges: Does this mean that his actions were so monstrous, he became a magnet attracting the miasma of negative emotions?

Becoming a youkai: Now this part confuses me because he's still human. I'm not sure what Yasaka means here. My interpretation is that he became the core of a negative feedback loop for the mountain's miasma.

Page 3 is creepy as hell and the dialogue is just frustrating.
  • Yasaka says he'll keep him "healthy" but proceeds to kill him immediately after.
  • Where exactly do all those spirits come from? Did Yasaka summon them?

You're just as gullible as the villagers if you believe Tsubaki's lies.

After the twins defeated Yakasha, they sealed the head on the western mountain and the body on the eastern mountain. When the sisters discussed about snake's blood poisoning the well, it was actually true because Tsubaki let it out herself -- by making the villagers suffered, she could incite them to join her scheme. Once they were prepared for the assault, she broke the seal on eastern side and let the body escape: 1 was to wear Koharu down after battle, 2 was to validate her claim about Koharu being culprit.
The big pit you're talking about is the the former sealing site of the snake body. There was nothing in it, as Dara-san didn't even bother to cover the hole until she needed to seal the leftover of Tsubaki in it.

The doctor might still exist as a yokai, but he was only made so to keep suffering, not to wreak havoc on the living. Ryukan's always watching from the ethereal realm, it's unlikely that he would let the doctor escape.

Of course the Bakeneko human form has giant knockers and a bakery to boot.

Now imagine her taking an angry shit on your bed.

his actions were not necessarly monstrous, but being someone that everybody need thank to his talent as doctor make him a beacon of reconnaissance and envy, think of this guy like a saint in the catholic religion, his good deed make him know by everybody in the village, the problem, is that he never tried to purify himself of the bad emotion, he is a doctor, not a priest, worse he is an sociopath, hence good and bad action and "faith" make him a twisted "god".

yasaka never killed him, he just took the legs and arms of the good doctor like tomoe, and let's him be absorbed by the spirits of the mountain, that can be his victim or the manifestation of the faith of the people, difficult to say for now.

You're just as gullible as the villagers if you believe Tsubaki's lies.

After the twins defeated Yakasha, they sealed the head on the western mountain and the body on the eastern mountain. When the sisters discussed about snake's blood poisoning the well, it was actually true because Tsubaki let it out herself -- by making the villagers suffered, she could incite them to join her scheme. you sure you understood what i saying ? because tsubaki's lies and what i say are 2 very different thing

let's begin with the affirmation of tsubaki, she affirm that kohaku was the one that weakening the seal and you affirm that she was the one that do that deed.

https://mangadex.org/chapter/6dfcef8c-19eb-4d36-a9f1-a9b1b0b64ed3/2
https://mangadex.org/chapter/6dfcef8c-19eb-4d36-a9f1-a9b1b0b64ed3/3

but the problem at the well appear long before tsubaki try to mess with the seal, she can't be the one responsable for the corruption.

and we know for a fact that koharu never mess with it.

moreover tsubaki only mess with the seal when she was ready to kill her sister :

https://mangadex.org/chapter/cf40029f-5c27-49b0-beea-0a8f8ec03390

and she was detected by koharu immediatly, that mean that if something was messing with the seal before, koharu has the ability to detect it, but that never happen before.

and that were what i'am saying is completly different, tsubaki and koharu believe that the seal was faulty, for me, it was never faulty, the corruption spread because of the doctor, and not yasaka.

The big pit you're talking about is the the former sealing site of the snake body. There was nothing in it, as Dara-san didn't even bother to cover the hole until she needed to seal the leftover of Tsubaki in it.
are you sure there nothing in it ? i frankly doubt that the case, moreover, dara san doesn't know about the gentle doctor, as show in the chapter 63 at the end of the flashback, there was no survivor to tell the story.

and don't tell me she does, that false, she has no idea why the snake god let her take his body to become madara yamatagi in the first place, we know the reason thank to chapter 63, it's was because of the promise he made to tomoe to never let another one suffer her fate.

but there reason to believe that the doctor is here, it was what yasaka say, he wanted to be sure to keep alive the doctor, as food for worm and insect, and where can you find worm, insect and deep water in the same place ? in a cave with a big pit in a mountain by example.

The doctor might still exist as a yokai, but he was only made so to keep suffering, not to wreak havoc on the living. Ryukan's always watching from the ethereal realm, it's unlikely that he would let the doctor escape.

you do know that ryukan doesn't care, right ? he has the capacity to save tomoe and chose delibaretly to not save her, nor yasaka of the griev, that go to tsubaki and koharu too, he has the possibility to explain everything and has done nothing to save the human.

and nope, nothing can affirm he can't wreak havoc on the living, in fact the problem of the well and the comportement of the west village tell a very different thing.
