Probably is because modern world (1900-xxxx) has a lot of restrictions, corruption, and social disparities that whatever a genius like this girl do will have a lot of stepping stones like for example: she is a minor, a ruined noble, an abandoned bride, a business noob girl, a non combatant lady, an ice cold lady, a low ranking noble doing a mission without the king approval, a non commoner doing weird things we don't trust and a large etc of excuse, modern era is too much restricted for fantasy worlds mostly for girls, poor people whatever the status, and people without fameI dont understand why series set in medieval-ish times often downplays utility and logistics...cant say that theyre not interesting but still!
