Probably is because modern world (1900-xxxx) has a lot of restrictions, corruption, and social disparities that whatever a genius like this girl do will have a lot of stepping stones like for example: she is a minor, a ruined noble, an abandoned bride, a business noob girl, a non combatant lady, an ice cold lady, a low ranking noble doing a mission without the king approval, a non commoner doing weird things we don't trust and a large etc of excuse, modern era is too much restricted for fantasy worlds mostly for girls, poor people whatever the status, and people without fame
