Raspi is throwing the game hard here by not finishing the job though. Of all places, it retreated to its home territory where its attack patterns would be the most predictable thanks to home field advantage.

It kinda sounds like the Strange Rod is a unique early game item. Works for me though. We need ways to neutralize the gamebreaking glitch liable to be patched or else there's no tension. And skills that block it's attack type were already used once, so you don't want to overplay that hand.

I'm predicting that the old man Elite Four member is going to try to negotiate or use different tricks because a direct confrontation scares him. Some kind of trick that renders brute combat power unsuited for solving the problem.

The game is years old and has seen a number of patches, though not as many as one would expect, seeing how many bugs/glitches still exist. So, Wage Slave would have needed to adapt quite a few times to changes. Maybe he got so badly surprised because he wasn't currently speedrunning a quest or even getting ready for a speedrun.

The whole time last chapter after the construction was completed, I was just thinking “Where is the old lady?! Bring her here this instant!!” and “Is she going to make an appearance or…??” lol. That, plus the fact that she can see demons. As of chapter 12, big hype. Haven’t read it all yet though.
