I don't know what the author has against tomboys, but god damn are they trying their hardest to tear Nikaido down at every chance. I don't usually like spin-offs too much, but it's making me want an alternative route where he wasn't saved from the debt collectors, starts working for them, and ends up with Nikaido after she finds out about his circumstances and tries to support him.

Yes! I was starting to wonder if I was the only one who thought this. They just flat slap pattern down and be done with it, no concept of folds or relation to how the clothing is positioned. It drives me nuts and shows zero effort. Just go with a solid color if you don't want to bother with it in the first place.
