He also told them they attacked him and dropped him down a cliff to die? Because that should be a big, no, no, for any organization. They're not even S rank themselves so what's the worry in calling them out or investigating the matter?

Oh, kinky?
And how would he do that? He has no idea where Yuki is. And didn't the shitty excuse of a knight tell him that Yuki was on board with kicking him out?
generally, guilds in those worlds can pass on messages. Particularly, if he asks one they frequent.
And even if knight lied about that, wasn't the reason he did it with her absent because he was trying to kill rather than fire? So would make sense for him to let her know he's a dangerous backstabbing liability (unless you think she will track you down to kill you, best to let her know even if you think she had given him the ok on murder).
On that note though, knight never actually said that about yuki :p I just checked first chap to be sure.

Often better to do prep work before confronting them. Things such as checking for further evidence, making sure they can't just kill you to silence the issue, won't just kill you to flee (having enough manpower to arrest if needed), and seeing if the story at all checks out (maybe they had never even been to that dungeon and mc was just lying?). Even after all that though, it would be a he said she said kind of situation, so difficult to do anything beyond asking them for their side of the story (individually to sus out conflicting alibis).

Btw, I've thought this since the start, but, Sidree (short hair, glasses, receptionist girl) is waaaay too short for someone that is "just short". Is she (half) dwarf or something? I don't think it was ever mentioned or anything.

our MC needs to face human enemies, like a knight, and we have the shitty party back in action. this simply calls for a match once they are in the new dungeon. might help MC to even gain some confidence or work out some of his trauma.

i'm more curious when or how Yuki will become part of this series again. maybe the shitty party will flee after the lost duel and while talking trash about the MC they will meet Yuki which will crush them for good?

Ugh still a jerk for not telling Yuki he's leaving and why.....
Leaving a "friend" to that group..smh..
Yeah I hate that type of storytelling, it's so forced/ unnatural. Why the hell would he not go and warn her if she's that important to him? "better play dead, for her sake" is among the dumbest tropes there are

This is the one time where I don't want the MC to get revenge against the party that did him wrong.
I want Yuki to find out what they did and handle the situation, those are not the eyes of a fully sane woman and it would be so much more interesting to see what she would do to them if she found out what they did BEFORE finding out he's still alive.

I believe it's still in the stage that they can't do anything to that. aside from the evidence, they can let him roam free to figure out what plot he will do first. if they rush thing, he might be bail out and do worse from behind people's eyes. it's better to do thoroughly since the victim still choose to let it go for now. I hope this is the case

Yeah I feel like that would be the best way to write this out for the story, and it has a decent likelihood that it'll go that way. With it ending with Dion confronting Segrit or whatever to apprehend him. Only thing is whether the guild will start showing that intent to spy and tail him, because outside of that there's room to write for him to cause more damage to the guild's dismay. And I feel like that's an equally probable route too.

I'd be okay with a story in which the guild officials were derelict in dealing with a group that did wicked things, so long as the guild officials were, within a couple of month in the publication schedule, literally maimed and forced to compensate the victim(s).

That said, in this story the guild officials do seem to need to conduct a proper investigation before dispensing justice, just as another commentator said.

I'm interested in that Labyrinth Castle dungeon. Maybe it'll have a waifu dungeon boss.

If this is being realistic, probably not, and not because they don't believe him or want to mind you, it's because he has no proof, even if they believe him, without proof in real life it's a game of he said/she said, which wouldn't hold up in a school classroom much less a courtroom.

My guess is it's gonna end up as vigilante justice or something similar.
I would imagine Yuki is gonna lose her shit when she finds out. Seeing how hard she took his "death" then finding out what they did to someone she clearly cares for deeply, they are going to get destroyed.
