How could she have retreated, though?
The boss has shown that it interferes with the magic tool that allows for teleportation out of the dungeon, and it even rearranges the dungeon on the fly to prevent escape.

You clearly weren't reading or paying attention. There's a whole section of the chapter dedicated to showing that specifically isn't possible. The monster has disabled all teleport escape items, and when they were going to look for a physical escape route, the monster altered the landscape to create new walls to block all retreat routes.

It literally uses a skill called "Dungeon Make" to create a multi layer wall to block their physical escape path then smashed the ice girl into said wall. They literally cry out about the exit being blocked off.
