There are series where the MC's anger is justified, but this one isn't one of them.

Also, the two-year timeskip is a cop-out by the author in order to avoid putting her in any good light, since we still need the thin veneer of justification for the MC's anger. You know that during the time the guildmaster has been trying to explain things to him, and the old childhood friend has obviously been trying to figure out how to approach him but the MC doesn't want to listen to anyone.

We can see that there is no betrayal. We see her side of things. We know why she did what she did, and we know what she meant to do. I mean, the MC understands what she meant initially, and we know she didn't know that the dragon was there. It's also massively on him for doing no research on an area he is going out to forage at. I mean, he was the logistics guy for an A-class party, but he couldn't figure out that a SS+ class dragon inhabited an area. Please.

It's just poor writing.

Good riddance in my opinion, just asking for forgiveness in 2 years and not even giving info regarding the dragon assault while Hyce trying to find flower to sell, I say it's good for Hyce to hate her.

There's a manga about a 15yo dude banging 4 30yo milfs. Japan doesn't care
question what's the age rating of that manga and what's the age rating of this manga if they are both Shonen then I accept your comment but if the one about the 15yo with a harem of MILFs is Seinen Then no those are not the same and your argument is invalid

It doesn't matter, the fact is that she never apologized, until he became S-Rank, you can't possibly say that this doesn't look VERY SUS. People keep giving the excuse of "he wouldn't listen" IT DOESN'T MATTER, she goes, apologizes, pays reparations, and moves on, then it is on him to accept the apology or not, but regardless, she would've done her part.
Even if she apologizes, she is not owed forgiveness. But she does owe him an apology.

Because he trusted her, that's why he has all the right in the world to be angry. Even if she didn't do it maliciously, she was negligent and gave incomplete information to a weak adventurer. Then people will call him edgy for not trusting others when trusting the person he trusts the most almost got him killed and made him permanently blind in one eye.

Well, the whole situation is predicated on bad writing. The author is setting things up so she can "betray him", but not really betray him so she can enter into the harem later.

With the motivations of the characters, she would have spoken with the guildmaster and found a good hunting ground for him to go with his current skills. If that hunting ground is famous for having valuable flowers, then it would certainly be famous for having a SS+ dragon visiting it.

More than likely, what would have actually happened is that she would have created a second group and then had him accompany them to show them the ropes, in order to buy time for him to figure out his skill.

Of course, none of his happened because he needed to be "betrayed" and so he can later "forgive" her and let her join the harem, as it is Arifureta-clone writing.

He didn't do any work to look into things. If you want to only go by the events as depicted, then he's an absolute waste of space for the group.

After getting the "I have no idea what your skill is" reading, there is no depiction of him working at all on trying to figure out what it does. There is no depiction of him working on shoring up his shortcomings, trying to figure out how he can fulfill his goal and figure out his skill.

Instead, several years pass, and we see him "participating" on the snake hunt. By participating, I of course mean, holding a large backpack, getting jealous of the others for progressing, and getting in the way of combat. He just stands there making an expression that the only thing going on in his head is the sound of a baked potato being rotated in the microwave.

He doesn't have a weapon out. He doesn't have items out. He doesn't coordinate with members. He just stands around when they tell him to get back. When he's called out on it, he sulks and then half-asses the only job he can do, which is collecting materials. Yes, they are somewhat harsh on him about it, but look at it from their perspective. He's had YEARS to do something other than carry a bag like a porter and gather materials, but he doesn't do a single thing. He just gets jealous of the other party members, especially the guy working with his childhood friend, because in his mind, she has replaced the MC with him. Of course she would seek someone who can support her, the MC is doing NOTHING.

Then when kicked out, instead of redoubling his efforts or taking the money to go and consult experts in order to figure out his skill, he tosses it away and just goes on meaningless herb collection quests.

When she tells him about the herbs, he does NOTHING to look into them. He just goes to the area. I mean, they are valuable herbs, and you would expect that they would either have been all picked or had a catch, but nope, he just half-asses his way through life as he always has.

You can't possibly think that a 14 orphan girl being stupid is necessarily "bad writing" 😂

With the motivations of the characters, she would have spoken with the guildmaster and found a good hunting ground for him to go with his current skills.
And you think the MC didn't know about a good hunting ground? that is like public information 😂

Then when kicked out, instead of redoubling his efforts or taking the money to go and consult experts in order to figure out his skill, he tosses it away and just goes on meaningless herb collection quests.
He is the disciple of the Guild master who is a legendary adventurer with connections, He already consulted the experts 😂 And not taking the money was symbolic because taking it was like accepting his banishment

When she tells him about the herbs, he does NOTHING to look into them.
Yeah, you know, because he trusts her 😉 but now that he doesn't trust people you fuckers call him "edgy", it is damm if you do, damm if you don't.

he just half-asses his way through life as he always has.
Until he stops being extremely disadvantaged compared to everyone else, then he thrives.

Yuusha ni Zenbu Ubawareta Ore wa Yuusha no Hahaoya to Party o Kumimashita! / Betrayed by the Hero, I Formed a MILF Party with His Mom!

MAL has it as:
Genres: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Erotica
Themes: Harem, Isekai, Reincarnation

No demographic is given but it doesn't read like a Seinen.

I know it's been said already (several times) but, this MC frustrates me. He has formulated an assumption about Sasha wanting to kill him based on his own assumptions, and he isn't even bothering listening to Geist when he's acting as a mediator and telling Hyce for two years that Sasha made a mistake and didn't mean for him to be so injured.

Hell, even him going to the area that he was directed to feels poorly written because any normal person would have at least verified the information that they were given, especially if they were a part of an A-rank party that was about to break into S-rank.

I get the frustrations regarding his gift, and his anger at being let go, but, he really doesn't have the complete picture...which is partially caused by Sasha not being upfront with him and telling him that she's worried he will get hurt...at least, not until a laughable amount of time has passed.

This set up is so poorly written...

CHOTTO MATTE!!!!

"he gets more chance, and he did"

"he did" could you elaborate on this?

Cause it can imply more than you meant, or less than you meant.

Like, given the cover, and while i know it'll probably take a while, I'm assuming Sasha is going to end up with hyce at some point...

But now I'm concerned about those red flags popping up...
Yeah "He did" Reynold, later on confessed with intention of marriage, but Sasha reject him, At this point Sasha is already aware of her feeling toward hyce, and already obsessed and thinking about him every single time.
Speaking of Reynold, it's true the reason why he want to banish hyce, because he wanted better chance to compete for Sasha love without that reason Reynold probably rejected the idea of banishing hyce, outside that compare to other banishment troupe, the group is genuinely ok guys, later on after Reynold accept the reality, he grew closer to Hyce because his knowledge of Alcohol (reynold is have hobby drinking expensive alcohol, and hyce like to collect them just for gift)
Other male member Tycoon, book nerd is also fond of Hyce because they're sharing same hobby "he said the only member that he can talk to in term of knowledge" because many member outside tycoon and hyce is to be honest dumb, Sasha despite being S rank is clumsy, very bad with direction, and doesn't have awareness, she later commented that she's feeling weak and inferior to hyce in everyway during her and hyce duo exploration in the sky dungeon, it's basically impossible for her to become S rank without her team, after showing hyce physical strength, power, strategy and decisiveness during combat and exploration.

Almost certainly at this point, She try to kiss him, Hyce already give in at that point, they ready to make out yeah make out hyce try to grope her entire body, but alas they were interrupted. Many other heroine already have their clear intention to marry and love hyce, but so far Hyce doesn't even look at them in romantic way, he does have romantic feeling toward Sasha though or consider it after he conquer last dungeon.

Some comment said if MC dont get kick out he will not awaken power.
.That wrong. IN the web novel - Later in 6 forbiden dungeon arc, there will be a vision where Hyce not kicked out and awaken power with the help party Scared.
