Pretty sure it's the scanlator's doing. I remember seeing the raws have cleavage ages ago.
Regardless, a tiny bit of cleavages won't sell more volumes. Need nipples for that at the very least.

UTOON, or its previous iterations, ManhwaFreak/Comicdom and its subsidiaries are known for weird censorship that doesn't make sense; it's all extra-legal activity, from the scanlation to ads, so why censor.

Honestly, I just want an informed answer instead of speculating like this.

Same. For me, it was mostly because the atmosphere of the works is mostly "elegant/majestic", so I didn't focus enough to notice. On other works that utoon/manhwafreak translate tho, there are some where the artist clearly intend a "look here"(cover half the screen), but those were cover by the most "design is my passion" edit that I know right away which group did it.

Given how much better this is compared to other utoon/manhwafreak stuff, sometimes I forgot they are related.

I think manhwafreak provides the raws to riohan and they do all the translate work. That would explain why the translation is good, but the scans have the same old censorship we know them for.

I don't think that censoring should be allowed for scanlators.

Rule 3.2.7 states:

All content that isn't strictly part of the original scanlated chapter is considered "extraneous". Examples of this include credits pages, recruitment notices, discussion, fan-colored chapter pages, and other fan art.

Though this probably doesn't take censoring into account? Though it should!

I did notice that she looked strange when reading the riohan chapter months ago. I back then thought that the "cloth" looked weird...

Because Manwhafreak does that. Any day they get sniped is a good day.

this one was a bit less egregious than what they usually do. Usually they apply full-on white out on any womens chest and legs. making it look like they only have one glowing leg and a uniboob

MD really needs a confuzzled guttural huh emoji.

It's entire premise doesn't make any sense because it's all outside of legality, & the ads they do get are literal porn/malware, and they even lock uncontested scanlated chapters behind a paywall.
Oh well. They'll still continue to earn our collective ire, and I'll hope for better consistency in the meantime.
