Now that's a respectable and proper-looking tent. Ivy is not so homeless anymore, now she's more like a nomad than a hobo.
Alright, so Ivy was Japanese in her past life, no doubt about it. Not after that 8-stroke kanji signature 空 "Sora" she just used to mark her tent with. But even though she's a very mature child, she doesn't give off that telltale "I'm an adult with vast life experiences who just woke up in a child's body" way of thinking. She has memories of a past life but that's it; I feel that her consciousness is truly her own and not from someone else who's blatantly and seamlessly continuing their past life into this one.
Those two dudes were city guards? Wow, they looked more like knights to me than typical NPC town guards with that gear they had.
So the fortune-teller who was closer to a proper mother figure than her own mother is named Louver. Sad that I only knew it after she already passed (or more like she was murdered through malicious negligence). That village chief has her blood on his hands.
Unsurprisingly her parents were idiots who were supporters of the moronic new village chief. Her home village is far from the town she's in now, but news of the fiasco about his stupidity has spread that far already. Ivy's not seeking revenge and this is not a revenge story (or so I think it's not) so I'd be fine if she just never saw them again. And anyway, the best kind of revenge is to be as happy as she can be without them.
