Oh wow, so they do figure out she is a girl and hiding some stuff, but respecting her wishes, that is good. She definitely has deep wounds still... least she has a big cute kitty friend now

She makes a good point about refugees from her home village spotting her in town. Worst case her family drifts into town and suddenly she's forced to return to her parents, technically her legal guardians, given she's underage and a runaway.
"Come back any time. We will be waiting."
Her journey is far from over, but she now has a place that could be considered home one day. Latome is such a warmhearted town. But it's not yet time for her to settle. She has places to see, strength to gain and a world to explore.
I like that Oguto and Verivera weren't actually idiots, and finally realized Ivy was a girl, and a runaway girl at that who was using a false name. Well, at least she has a new companion on her journey with the Adandara panther coming along with her.

The slow pace, meandering narrative, and melancholy awareness that people come and go in life reminds me of Tensei Shite High Elf ni Narimashitaga, Slow Life wa 120-nen de Akimashita, though this is much more upbeat and cute. Not at all a bad thing...

The guards are chads among chads im sad we wont be seeing them for a bit but happy that ivy has people who worries and cared for her now
