Author never played RPG games, or played only really bad ones. Any sensible RPG has some kinda system were level difference make it harder or impossible to kill something cause either dmg resistance or hit chance is derived from the level difference. In games its sometimes as low as 5 or less levels and its already extremely hard to win against such opponent, or other way its one shot but you get no exp.
Romance stories force drama that make the whole world built seem to be full of borderline brainless retards with no critical thinking capabilities, and "action/fighting" stories seems to make their worlds equally stupid with lacking common sense or having such a bad rules that you wouldn't touch a game with them with a 5 feet stick, just to milk them.
