What brainwashing? What curse? He rewrites the game's code (or gets his subordinates to do it, anyway).

I can see a couple of possibilities here:

1. This is a real world that the computers of our world can affect somehow (which would be an interesting twist on the formula)
2. Inconsistent writing (which is unfortunately more likely)

Something I'd like to see is that Ogata has been visiting this world since before the MC died, and his only real power is to have his subordinates change the settings for him.
