I don't see what Erika sees in Koto, really.
I get she felt jealous with Aya in several ways, but the theme does seem to be self reflection and moving past old feelings.
Perhaps Erika x Aya could work and they can also be on the same stage.

It was always Aya came in first and Erika 2nd but if they can be Number 1...
Cauze middle schooler Koto is the cutest girl in this world. Unfortunately, she had also gone withe Aya's disappearance all thanks to fucking Erika.(Don't bother trying to convince me it's just a coincidence Aya disappeared right after her conversation with Erika

I am partially convinced that erika “wished” for aya to disappear. I think she may have done it out of anger, a sort of in the moment kind of thing, and then forgot afterwords because she probs didn’t think anything would come of it at the time. Probably wrong fs but her confronting aya in that little flashback was maybe her turning point of desperation to do whataver it took to secure koto. :thonk:

I'm looking forward to Erika's growth. She still has a kind of complex with regards to Aya, but it seems her 'confession condition' is to overcome that complex. I think her and Koto could still work, especially with how soft they were this chapter (I don't how Erika puts up with seeing Koto so cute) but equally there is this tragic taste that Erika is the one doomed by the narrative even despite all her efforts, because that's the way feelings work, and you can't help the way they work.

Never change, koto-gang. I look forward to and enjoy reading your insane ramblings, blatant twisting of facts, and frivolous exaggerations of things erika did every time a new chapter drops. Thank you for so much entertainment <3

You can at least point out what fact l had been twisting before claiming my well-justified opinions are insane ramblings😑

This comment section never disappoints. Way more entertaining than the manga itself.

On the actual chapter, can we please move to Aya having a serious talk with that friend?

I'm honestly not rooting for an Aya and Koto ending because I'm genuinely not fully convinced Aya even really liked Koto like that at least not till she came back and at that point well

You could always just reread the manga if you're confused about things.

Tbh, nearly every Erika fans using the same excuse for not liking Koto x Aya as a couple is kinda boring now🙄

I read and caught up with this manga fairly recently and I stand by my original statement based on Aya's hesitance after the first confession and her expression it seemed ridiculously obvious to me that she had very few if any romantic feelings for Koto that whether because she just didn't have the time and energy to have those feelings because of stuff with her family or because she just didn't like that version of Koto romantically doesn't really matter

Either way I think she did eventually have real feelings for Koto once she met the older version of Koto but a lot of that seems to be born from a mix of awe and desperation over her seemingly still "loving" Aya after so many years and as well as the novelty of her being older and more mature it felt very much like a younger girl who has a crush on an older girl in part because she's older

I'm not even convinced Koto really loves this version of Aya she definitely wants to love her but honestly she loves the version of Aya still trapped in her memories which she's so desperate to return to its part of why she freaks out so much when Aya starts to change and grow up and be different from the version of Aya she remembers

Dude I didn't even mention Erika this idea is born from the fact that I really like Aya and was analyzing her character Koto to me is ultimately inconsequential her arc is fine all things considered but I don't care about her nearly as much as Aya

I linked you to a page that is Aya thinking back on when she was falling for Koto, which was after the first confession and before the second one. You are essentially saying Aya is wrong about her own feelings/ memories. And I don't really understand what you mean by Aya's hesitance, since she was teasing Koto about the confession and her feelings.
