I have chapters up through 33 now which is where the current uploads end.

It's a huge bullet, not a missile. The bullet was shot using the explosion of powdered Foul Stone to minimize mana usage (so that Talt be able to use the technique easily) but the Foul Stone itself was too volatile to be shot like a bullet.
