FINALLY. The story moves on to the next act and our protagonist isn't acting like a naive idiot that would confront the villainess directly upon finding out the truth. Let's hope him and Emma managed to get out of this one alive, though I hold little hope for Emma if there is going to be true redemption on her part without great sacrifice.

So, yeah… The pacing for this arc sucks, and there’s some highly questionable writing regarding the “entertainment” the author seems to be writing for his “scenes”. However, credit where credit is due: I appreciate that the MC working with the person who used to distrust him is what led to him finding out the truth. That feels decently organic, and like something that could actually happen. It works as a good callout to the MC’s focus being on giving others a chance, instead of just “hur-dur, MC have stronk powerz”.

I mean, I like those kind of manga too, but sometimes it’s nice to read something else 🤣
