Oh for sure. It's also pretty weird. The size difference is just... Sheeeeeesh
"Short women deserve to die alone, I swear... very least, they need to be dating other short people."

At least invoke the Tanner scale*, or something...

*I may be partly mistaken on the Tanner scale-- I thought its categorizations covered the whole body instead of specifically primary and secondary sexual characteristics, but I can't find a chart that compares for the whole body.

yall know what i mean, dont try to twist this. its not just height but proportions, too.
don't get me wrong, i'm fine with it all. ultimately it's just fictional 2D characters. i dont care, hell i even like it, the art's pretty good!
but just blatantly ignoring the coding of her character design is just being oblivious.

You only said anything about size. I was the one who suggested bringing proportions up to make your aversion tenable (thus, the Tanner scale, though I still don't know if there's a scale for whole body development).

but just blatantly ignoring the coding--
The... "coding"?

She's been consistently characterized as a 27 year old office lady with a height complex. We see her at work. She has work friends. She lives alone in an apartment she presumably rents with her earnings from her job. We've seen her in middle and high school only in flashbacks.

Looks like she's "coded" to be a comically short adult.

Look, she's been consistently characterized as a 27 year old office worker with a height complex.
They are right though, author does draw them to look like kids intentionally.

Author blatantly draws porn of the childish looking main girl AND the blonde kid.

Like it or not, you gotta just suck it up and accept that the author has those types of kid fetishes.

It's the classic "The loli is totally 1000 years old I swear bro".

At least the porn stuff is not canon and are not in the main story.

Bruh we do they continue to push this side story....granted the side story I enjoy most is Sakurai so I shouldn't really complain.

Except that's meant to be a handwaving of their general character (not only their appearance, but also how they act). The age can't even be contextualized in an accessible way because we have no context for what a socialized thousand year old mythical creature is supposed to be like. It's a lazy moral salve, or perhaps it's just characterization texture for what's meant to be an appealing character with an appealing character design.

This? It's almost like with Hana Uzaki-- "almost", because Futaba is more chibi or gremlin-like, than anything. In either case, though, the charge just falls apart when you concretely and consistently demonstrate the characters as being, contemplating, and talking like adults socialized in a way we're familiar with. At that point, still trying to talk about them being "coded as kids" is an undue prioritization of appearance over everything else.

That was the point of my satire: would you be like that with actual, non-disabled adult women who unfortunately are not only short but look much younger than you feel would suit their age?

Personally, I find it annoying and performative-- it reminds me of an exchange I had not too long ago here about some guy talking about the schizo-zone he lives in where he'd apparently be arrested just for hanging out with a high schooler 3-4 years his junior in a public setting.

Are you familiar with kids? Like, family members or some other group setting?

I honestly do not understand your message.

I am sure it is well thought out and logical, but it's too complex for me.

I'll just say you are right in...

...whatever it is you said.

Lemme try to tl;dr this:
  • Futaba's a working adult with working adult responsibilities, and is treated as an adult in a setting with a society much like our own.
  • This is not at all like thousand year old lolis, whose social standards are so alien to us they may as well not exist, because there's no such thing as thousand year old lolis in real life.
Why are you fuckers STILL DOING THIS?
Why didn't you leave ages ago?
The story has been about a legal loli trying to get with a bear with a dick longer than her torso (maybe) since the very start and you still keep complaining about it 215 chapters in.
Frankly, I think she was designed with size contrast (vis-à-vis Takeda) in mind.

As in, it's just funny to think about how Takeda would split her in half with his gorilla cock if they tried anything.

(Or maybe there'll be some Kirikou-type shit and she'll grow two feet once they finally kiss)

The author has a ton of loli H art over the years that he's drawn and notably a few of the splatoon inklings, it's not that deep he just wanted to draw loli x bear.
