edit: alright finished reading the chapter. All I can say is, realistically, these type of parents 9 out of 10 won't accept the fact that they were wrong and would still insist their children are right, despite having the truth thrown in their face. I know because my sister is a teacher herself and her stories about parents are drama stories drilled to the max.

Maki is a bitch and a monster, the fact that she tried to misled her mother about Yui out of pure spite, for no good fucking reason other than being jealous the boys are fawning over her, is absolutely vile and disgusting. I don't care if your family's upbringing is too strict or stressful or poor or whatever reason, there are plenty good people that come from worse family condition. If your personality is good, you won't pull this kind of shit, you won't even think about it at all.

Ok enough rant, the series is about sex ed after all, so maybe I should focus more on the STD part instead of the characterization.

For example, if you read shoujo manga, then you will constantly come across topics of bullying, arrogant school queens, harassment and discrimination due to unattractive appearance. It should come as little surprise that Shonen also puts a lot of emphasis on delinquent violence or fantasies involving girls who see you as a piece of shit on their bottom.
