It's nice seeing D care about Angel and Hisui. It's also nice getting Noa fanservice. RIP at her crippling camera shyness. I wonder if D's in safe hands with the Neo Rangers.
It really shows how much he has grown/changed/developed compared to the start of the series. He never cared about anyone other than his fellow foot soldiers, yet now he doesn't just care about more people, there are some where is he willing to risk his life for. it's a wild, but great, character arc.
he is probably fine. IIRC in one of the last 2 chapter we saw Hibiki explicitly roll out with the rest of the neo rangers to go save D. Combine that with the high likelihood that they now know that D was impersonating Sakurama the whole time they knew him there is a good chance the ones he befriended still have positive, if conflicted, feelings towards him.

And let's not forget that D already had a knack for impersonating people like Sakurama. He must have very good understanding and memory to pull that off, so it's not a surprise that he had enough time spent talking with DM to be able to understand and "predict" what he would say at any given situation.

In other words, D has all the information he needs to perfectly impersonate Death Messiah if he so wished. Powers aside, he could really "become" Death Messiah himself. That's just a step away from developing a genuine Alter Ego.
He was good at impersonating people in terms of how they looked but, IIRC, he never had any real talent with mimicking how they acted or thought. He was always awkward and bad at actually mimicking Sakurama, but because Sakurama was a bit of an outcast/marked as a weirdo he was able to get away with it. If he had tried that with anyone else he likley would have gotten caught rather quickly. Hell once he joined Green battalion he straight up outed himself without realizing it with some of the stupid shit he said. Now I could see that having changed by now, he can at least mimic a person without messing up basic social etiquette like before, but I don't think he will ever be some amazing "can mimic their personality/quirks/movements" sort of character.

Given that his replacement leg was directly given to him by Death Messiah, it's possible that the man lives on through him. That said, he's now lost that leg, so it's all up in the air. Just don't be surprised if ol' DM comes back, because it's been foreshadowed.
The leg can fly if D have enough power, remember on D's first fight after long hole up with Death Messiah?

He desperately needs a powerup
He did get a power up at the start of this arc. It's just that he got surprise attacked by the one executive with the spatial power who's disguised as a neo ranger which did a lot of damage and made it hard for him to fight back, so he can't fight effectively. I do think it's disappointing that the author made the plot flow like this right after giving D a power up... I guess it's a way to make him reconnect with Urabe and get famous to set up future plot threads. At least he maintained his dignity for the most part, like how we deliberately didn't choose to fly away by the wind because he's conscious of the girls fighting for him.
