As an adaptation it was fine, and as mentioned before, manga fully adapted the LN which was only 2 volumes long, of course while this story was planned as a twoshot, author said that depending how the LN and manga did, it could get a 3rd, but likely following someone else (i think it was going to be about the idol?), but well it been 3 years since

That end felt quite sudden to me but I suppose if the comment above is right about the 2 volume length then it makes sense, the final major conflict of Ayu's family has been resolved (albeit negatively) so from this point forward it would just be new plots or full slice of life type of thing.
Enjoyable read though! I'll have to read the light novels sometime.

Wish it could be wrapped up more satisfactorily, or at least have an epilogue where those two and Miya just talk about the aftermath.
But it is fine I guess.

A part of me can’t help to want to see a scene on the court with Hikari bringing a team of lawyers with her.

Also we never get to see Ayu having notable interactions with Hikari’s family.

Good manga but this end was so weird

Strange ending but I liked it. The scene with Yukari and Ayu's parents had me laughing out loud. Did not expect her to come out as a sociopath and the "I'm straight" comment was baffling but it was worth it to see Yukari threatening to hire assassins and the parents having a complete mental breakdown.

So yeah the ending was rough and everything to it raised more issues than resolved but I really don't have an issue with the way it handled the family. It's not a happy resolution but it's a lived reality for so many people.

If only the rest of the ending could have matched that tone

Since when has 'shipping a yuri couple been dependent on whether they be straight or not? Usually we don't get that sexy girl-on-girl action where that is the case, but that's what makes this series peak. I guess. At least Ayu was vocally out and dealt with it fairly seriously.
