It's probably not as bad as you make it out to be. The rebels already took Monroe somewhere secluded considering they were about to murder her, and of all of Kai's transformations this one throwing around icy wind is much less conspicuous than the ones that use lightning or fire or whatever. Someone in the Huang Lia power structure is going to figure it out I'm sure, but that'll just make things interesting.

For Dhala at least, Kai has already correctly identified that with Victorius (who already knows he is both Kai and Grey Einfield, and who owes Kai his life) as the envoy, they're less of an enemy in the immediate short term, and helping one of theirs who's apparently in a unique position is obviously going to earn him some good will. He's just super lucky that this soldier with access to the inner palace has already teamed up with Sakura and can be his point of contact with her.

Even more recently than that, we took a break from Huang Lia about a year or so ago to back to the dwarf country with Kai and Doronea for a couple chapters, where he transformed with her nectar to fight some Koenig spies.

Still, a year ago. I don't mind the pacing personally but objectively it sure has been a while.

Correction, last arc was the internal struggle in Albion thing, if memory serves. The aftermath of Grey involving himself with the desert/beastman country. Y'know, with that busty prosecutor elf that tried to off our dwarven princess?

I will admit my memory is spotty on this one, but IIRC... it wasn't exactly sand, but a form of wind/sound ability, and maybe you are remembering it as such, because he does use it to replicate a phenomenon where, because of vibration, sand becomes "fluid" like water or extremely compact.

By the way, there is a scientific name for this phenomenon, but I can't remember what it is.

But I do remember that petanko mermaid wife was very pissed with Kai during the last stretch of the arc (because four big "reasons") and was very... convincing with the Gods' fleet powers when "fighting" against him... Kai would say a little too convincing at a few moments.

Kind of funny to see that it's on hiatus right before its 100th chapter. Way to kill the anticipation.
