Did that Shiori pays her brother's debt???? I know by law is not passable to another individual regarding if its a family member or not.
If someone threatens you by debt that you do not owe, you have the right to sue them for it...

Debt plots sure is weird in manga/anime

I think in one of the chapters their dad said the only reason they're saddled with the debt is because they were family and wanted to take responsibility

So according to a French publisher, the manga is impossible to license outside of Japan due to a rights issue.

I mean, I sort of get it - the Cobain and Hendrix estates are probably very litigious, and even Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure required name changes in order to be localized. But I guess I was holding out for the manga to be acceptable under fair use. Just means that proper scanslation is even more important now.
