I literally called him out on his bullshit earlier in this very thread. But if you were to compare the two releases, his is better, and it's not close. Bakwan reads clunky, although I wouldn't say it's obvious MTL.

I realized that these guys, not only barely know English, so wouldn't recognize a good TL if it hit them in the face, but are probably also 12 year old mentally. Arguing with them, when they're on the level of "no u, gtfo, lololol" is useless.

It's insane that people are defending that translation "attempt" as being decent.
Quick recap from the first chapter: the first line of first page is idiomatically wrong, the second page has no effort spent on it, third page has obvious MTL error on the first line and half the rest of it sounds awkward, page four has the beauty "Who was the one who lost the game?" ... and let's not skip over how page 3 has her name wrong. Twice. It doesn't get better.
I did not think I'd find the biggest assh*** on the planet on a yuri comments section. You didn't have to insult the person like that if you had something to complain about. I swear you must be one miserable turd.

Watch out guys, Kirin owns the scanlation for this series. Don't ever post your subpar trranslation or else he'll come and take down your work. He'll tell people to read his better tl and yet call you readers a parasite at the same time. What an outstanding guy.

It took me, an idiot who didn't even have the raws, an hour to pick out several specific and general issues with the ch2.2 translation and write them up into a proofreading document with full explanations. There are enough simple repeated mistakes and technical issues that the question I asked was 'why couldn't you take an extra hour to fix this problem that keeps cropping up after 40 previous releases' and there's no answer in sight beyond they're rushing to get first place for that sweet, sweet mangadex kudos.
The issue isn't that I want Kirin to 'own the scanlation'. I just want the person who does it to actually care about the thing they're creating because not doing so shows a lack of respect towards the work itself, the readers (including you!), and the state of scanlation in general.
As I said in my post, doing a bad TL because you're trying to learn and get better is totally fine. And I hope that the feedback I provided - in good faith! I was pretty proud of my post honestly! Kinda mad it's gone! - will be incorporated into the new ch2.2 that gets released. But I'm betting it won't.
