Not going to lie, I'm genuinly starting to hate this series, It was interesting for the first dozen chapters or so, but I just caught up with it, and my god this has just spiraled into complete and utter shit. I've got no idea how the hell this hasn't been cancelled yet.
Probably not. Or else they would already had sex, the author just want Reito to stay ""pure"" for only one girl.
I think he will do it with Suou Mira at the end, after being betrayed by others,Erisa dying/caught by cult, and him creating the medicine.
@siquall Ah, Right. I forgot this manga appeals to a shit ton of the pervet's (not unlike me, mind you) in Japan. Didn't even know (the author ?) left Japan at any point, I unironically just started reading this yesterday, so with 65~ chapters to read right off the bat you notice things really easily. It seems like they are trying to make a story around this, but it ends up being nothing more than a hentai that doesn't show genitals. Really jarring because this premise is actually pretty good.
-MC-kun, you need to have sex to help repopulate earth.
-No.
-Look, here's your former lover. She still loves you. Surely you want to have sex with her, right? C'mon man, take one for the team.
-No.
-Look, you're literally going to die if you don't have sex.
-No.
This guy is more afraid of sex than of death. Considering the circumstances, this goes beyond selfishness.
@jaeparku@Isekaijin@fhq I have to drop this. This guy.. He is sofa king todd ed. Yeah there was an easier way to write that, But it's the sound that matters and I have to make it more pronounced cause. WTF is happening. Where did the main premise go? Da fauq?
I just started reading this manga and I'm laughing my ass off on the hypothesis that the main reason why this manga has such a low score is because all the men reading this wanna beat the shit out of the protagonist for being selfish, haha.
This manga picks up and starts to get interesting after the 20th chapter. I know I'm asking a lot, but don't be dissuaded by the low rating and hang in there.
The first 20 chapters basically are setting up the foundations for the story and letting you get use to what's going on. Yes, the main protagonist (#2) is annoying as fuck as well as boring because he's a predictable 1-dimensional flawless-moral character
that seems to never evolve as a character still after 66 chapters
. However, other characters get introduced that have gray moralities and/or evolved that makes shit interesting - especially with their interactions between each other. At that point, #2 just feels like a plot device that has to move the Saving-The-World plot along so the series can eventually reach a satisfying conclusion at its finale. You get use to him being who he is (sorta), then subconsciously appreciate him in the sense that his existence allows you to take a break from the other more interesting characters' plot-lines. That way you're not over-inundated and the anticipation to go back to their stories makes you enjoy said stories more ("Absence makes the heart grow fonder" as they say). Trust me, there is this one character whose really interesting in her/his actions and you want want to see what happens next. Try to read this beyond the 20 chapters at least, is all I'm asking.
Honestly, I think this would be a great anime on par to Netflix's Castlevania if there were some major changes done for the anime:
Biggest one is obviously making #2 not a boring 1-dimensional flawless moral character. Give him a vice, let him get tempted by his position of power sometimes, let him have some negative distasteful human traits, let him stray for a bit sometimes, and etc.. You can make a great likeable character whose a POS sometimes if you make it so that he feels remorse for his actions and tries to redeem himself for them. For example, there could have been a minor plot-line where he finally gets into the temptation and fucks his first agent chick where he also successfully gets her pregnant with a boy on the first attempt. In that hypothetical plot-line, we get to see him deal with the guilt of betraying his chastity to his first love while having irrational anger towards the agent. He can have an internal dark struggle where he knows the baby is important as fuck to make sure is born healthy but concurrently wish for it to be a miscarried because it's a physical reminder of his betrayal to Elisa. You can make scenes where in his lowest moments, he could be seriously considering slipping his agent an abortifacient -an insane way of thinking it'll magically reverse his infidelity and make everything alright again. Then as he slips her the medication and she's about to drink it, he slaps it out of her hand and confesses what he just tried to do. Then we can go from there.
I remember why i dropped this series, ITS Because of the MC. I felt like i can get heart attack whenever i read this because how irritated i am with the MC.
Really whats wrong with the author with this overly pure MC
My issue with this series does stem from the MC but not for the reasons people think. I understand (to a small degree) wanting to be with his fiance and finds her since its been five years. My understanding starts to slow down as I see more and more of how little he actually does. He believes he can create the cure for the virus but we have very little to go off of to believe that he has any chance in hell of doing so. Nothing about him is given to show he has more potential than anyone else to do it in the entire manga. He is mistrustful of women which is understandable because you're just a token in this world but doesn't do much to learn about the women hes around. I would like to call him spineless but he seems more stagnant/complacent to me. Hes the same exact character in the latest chapter that he was in the early chapters. I don't need him to go rage boning everything but seeing a character accept his role in restoring humanity by doing it in his own way would of been more interesting to see. He could be the one guy connecting to the women around them, laying them, and finding what dots connect to create a cure.
Tlr MC isn't spineless but his development is as deep as a kiddy pool
