Something I want to say as a Chinese manga reader

Most of readers in the web(mangadex) are form western countries as far as I see . Therefore I wanna express out my feeling to the Mangadex🥰🥰
There are more than 4 months since I found and used the webside thanks for the Chinese net friend's suggestion . It's available and easy to register and sign in the website ,which is totally different from other foreign websites(I must offer up my best gratitute for the point 🥺🥺 because It's too harsh to load the outer webside as a socialism person)
The reason I read manga translated by English is to improve my reading competence and vocabulary quantity , English is necessary and significant in Chinese . As a 20 years old university student like me ，you will never find a ideal job without English . But I am also a lazy dog, I'd rather die than wasting a lot of time in class and examination. One of my favor is ACG so I regard watching anime and read manga with English dub will also help me attain that it takes to obtain the English certificate such as the CET4 and CET6
I writed and posted it after reading the manga 《I fall in love with you untill the end of life》,besides I've read enormous mangas and animations before The favorate manga and animation of all is 《Blue period》
and 《So So No Frieren》I am afraid to screw up since I'm really not good at remarking

Since you're asking for some replies, I'll give my opinion on language learning. Translations, and fan translations at that are not exactly something I'd recommend to improve your English. Your English will probably end up a bit weird due to it but if it works it works. Personally I prefer consuming media targeted at kids because it's straight with the dialogue, meaning if the character is talking about a ball, a ball will be on screen. From there, you can understand that a "ball" means the object on the screen even if you didn't know that word already.

*Note you should probably avoid the 中二 mangas, don't want to make regrets by letting those terminology slip in reality someday

Thank you for your advise，I understood what's your mean by the "ball association" . My reading level is not good enough so I am used to reading mangas there with a translation app. After recording the words and phrases I'll write them on my note book and try to memorize them everyday. Recognizing some words I'm not familiar by associate the figure must be a hinder to remember the words . But after studing like this for over 100 days , I'm sure that I am able to read sentences faster and more fluently

I also learned English on the internet! Everyone thought I was studying hard, meanwhile I was watching funny videos on youtube (I recommend it by the way. Especially video game let's plays where the youtuber reads the text out loud helped me a lot. Nowadays there are also a lot of vtuber clips with subtitles)

I will say that while casual internet English helps your general skills, you'll still need to study for academic/professional English (something even some native speakers aren't good at XD)

I think reading translated manga is a good way to learn english. Yes some chapters have mistakes, but right now the most important millestone is to understand the meanings of the sentences even if you don't fully grasp them.

Also, I think you should try to read at least 10 minutes every evening and after 3 months, I swear, you will become a lot better. If you can read 1 hour every night is even better!

There is over than 1 year after I read the Mato Seihei .Unfortunately the plot in my impression is not clear anymore The only thing I still remember is the excellent painting style and 18+ content
Surely,there are many others favorite mangas except those two，let me think of it，emm... The 《vinland saga》，《bakuman》,《Naruto》,《Arte》,《Bloom into you》《The Ancient Magus's Bride》,《To Love Ru》,《Ayakashi Triangle》,《Akane-banashi》and so on

Thank you for your suggestion,I'll try watching the videos with English subtitles sooner. As to the last paragraph you said ，I've usually practice the aural and reading comprehension by all sorts of examination (Although barely gain the passing grade now)

You have said to the key point about reading obstacle for a foreign reader I think. At the first beginning, It's really difficult for me to understand the meaning， not mention to some with a lot of causal communication and implication. But now is much better because I have watched for more than 3 average hours everyday ，witch had became to an important part of my life now🥰🥰 . Thanks to the gratis website again

hello friend. it's always nice seeing people commit to studying languages, they're a beautiful thing, and they can change your life for good by giving you many different possibilities in life.
anyway, my suggestion is, after you start getting a good grasp of the language by reading manga and watching videos etc. like others suggested, try reading light novels(a nice torrent site for that and more is nyaa.si). they will help improve your skills, and expand your vocabulary. that's how i learned English as an Italian, and how i'm currently learning spanish, and maybe in the future classical arabic🗿

Yes, we all love Mangadex, there's not doubt about that. When it comes to language learning, you cannot avoid the proper studying part of syntax, grammar and spelling, so you have to balance it all. For translated manga as a source of learning, I can't recommend it because even if it's well written it's either not in a natural way of speaking because they're imitating Japanese and using a reduced amount of vocabulary. It was already suggested, picture books and books targeted to children (either adapted or not) from the original language are the best to start with, afterwords you can move to more complex books (and you can get a lot for free, there're learning materials free of charge). For listening, start with English subbed in Chinese and change to English when you feel confident. But whatever you do, don't use machine translators, they kill the purpose and give false confidence in your skills (not to mention they may not translate things well). Instead, use dictionaries (either physical or online ones) to understand the meaning of the words and keeping track of them. No matter what language you want to learn, this is the appropiate process (of course, if you can talk with a native or bilingual, then great), just remember that a language takes a lifetime to be learnt, even your own. Personally, the only way translated otaku stuff has helped me with is to improve reading speed, because there's a lot of garbage out there (specially in VN-LN, but I don't read LN).

Hello neighbor. I live in Vietnam. My life has been a lot about the Chinese culture. I like China a lot (if we disregard all those previous wars). I frequently read manhua, because in Vietnam we have a language system called Sino-Vietnamese that borrows a lot of words and usage from Chinese, therefore cultivation manhuas (manhuas, movies and novels in general) translated in Vietnamese are much easier to understand compared to manhuas in English. And it's funny you say "English is necessary and significant in China" because my father said Chinese tend to not use English because there are so many Chinese scattered throughout the globe that they are bound to meet someone who understands them. His work involves importing goods from China and then performing stuff on them. And he is travelling to China for the fourth time at the end of this month with his business clients.
