... the Queen and her behavior at the start of the chapter reminds me of a boot camp story relayed to me by a Marine buddy of mine:

During a morning inspection a poor recruit had a bit of morning wood... which obviously was spotted by a DI. The recruit was ordered to "put that disgusting thing at ease. NOW"...

When the recruit failed, the DI ordered the recruit to stand on a foot locker so he could yell directly at this poor guys dick, screaming he didn't call for "the position of attention" and that it needed to follow orders immediately or it would be getting an article 15. Eventually they had every DI in earshot clustered around this guy in maximum shark attack mode, shouting at his dick.

Because the boner refused to follow a lawful command by a superior, they all had to do push-ups "till it returned to the position of at ease".
