I mostly agree with the rest you typed but this excerpt makes no sense at all.
Your personal feelings about this arc aside, even with you calling out that these are "deliberately (established) tension and frustration in the characters" (it clearly is deliberate if one reads these chapters, though I did not see a comment saying it was by accident..?) it boils down to the quality of what is delivered (which is what most peeps here criticize). And it is mid af to say the least.

To directly work into that statement, how is this all "established" (as you typed)? We went from the cosplay finishing, barely any interactions between the two, into her cosplaying into her knowingly neglecting her partner and their beforehand established plans of meeting friends.
Then her noticing her partner being clearly in distress (this was all before any calls or the possibility of her going pro/viral) but deciding not to communicate with him at all the whole day for no reason shown to us readers.
Timeskip to them leaving, the whole day being her actively avoiding him, keeping that up on the train home, keeping that up afterwards and then acting like she did the two most recent chapters. Completely out of character. With no setup at all.

When was the establishing? Do you mean us and to a certain extent Marin getting to know about his complexes like 50-60 chapters ago? Their dreams 90 chapters ago? Their feelings and characters grew, developed, changed, all that stuff.
Taking random facts that were thrown at us and some other characters to get worldbuilding and characterization going is not establishing whatever happened these past ~10 chapters.

Also, your last sentence is just pretentious rambling. These are NOT complex challenging feelings at all. They became those to a certain extent AFTERWARDS, when her going viral happend, when she met Non and Gojou after being a stuck up B. When she had time to think it through.
She went from "I am shooo in wuv with my hub" to "I won't even try talking to the guy I love being at his worst because of some unexplained reason". She knows SOMETHING is wrong. Her character AT THAT TIME would've made him her first prio. Again, she did NOT know about the pro etc. shit. She also still doesn't know it is about his complexes.

This it not me commenting on your personal feelings about this arc, btw, not at all. These are factual things happening in the manga, whole characterization being thrown out in 2 random chapters, drama that has no place due to how characters actually are but is enabled due to how out of character they behave currently.

Also not doing this for fun but I just can't enjoy someone belittling, insulting, flaming, bashing etc. other commenters (like you did here) for more than valid opinions. You did bring up some good points, why accompany them with actual toxicity?
Sorry I can't take any of this seriously enough to read it when your username is that. Best of luck in your future posting endeavors though.

I really don't get why everyone is hating on these recent arcs. The drama isn't fake, it's been there since the first few chapters, gojo is a self conscious, emotionally stunted, self depreciating, perfectionist. He just wants to be loved but can never see himself of worthy of that love. His grandpa is the only person he had for the longest time. When Marin starts getting this level of attention he's starting to think that she'll move on from him, he won't be necessary because he's not good enough. The chapters of choosing materials and fretting over details is there for a reason, he needs this to be perfect. He sees his grandfather in the mangaka, he wants to make him proud. The chapters of all the praise is there for a reason, showing the immense praise for the costume, but also Marin. Making gojo feel like the gap between them is increasing.

Side note, I've seen speculation of a love triangle with the non. I cannot see where that's coming from, gojo clearly started the conversation with her feeling like she still thought he was disgusting and weird for his love of hina dolls. She just feels bad because of her treatment of a kid who just lost both of his parents, wouldn't you want to apologize for doing something like that?

I just don't understand the hate, you're reading a romance manga, enjoy the slow burn romance. The mixed emotions of confused high schoolers who barely understand what they themselves are feeling let alone the other. It's supposed to be frustrating when they could solve their problems by being honest and they can't bring themselves to say it. I'm sure everyone has experienced something like that, you like someone so much, but you can't bring yourself to say anything because you're scared of the outcome. You enjoy just being around them and resign yourself to being a friend because you don't want to risk losing what little connection you have.

In short, it's supposed to be a frustrating, and drawn out romance. If that's not for you that's okay, but don't hate on something just because it's not your cup of tea.

Also sorry if this has typos or something, I'm typing and walking.

“Everyone is looking for the cosplayer and costume maker. They’ll def find them soon!”

Meanwhile Marin and Gojou are wandering around looking at dolls, oblivious to the manhunt online. I would think one of the cosplay group might mention it to them, but these two are a little preoccupied with their personal angst.

Maaaaan... Who TF fk'd up Marin's face on pages 6 and 11? She got eyes like a damn flounder. It's like they caught her eyes mid migration or something...
